[1.0.0.7] Dreeg's Champion

Note: Dot builds and funny disadvantage…
If you are not OP enough to kill all mobs in 1 skill rotation your poison will do it later. This is how I usually jump from 1 group of enemies to another.
Today I went to Steps of Torment and killed Alkamos on Anguish floor but I left small room with chest (Bone Reliquary) on Suffering level.
Now best part… On the way back I found legendary and epic item lying on the floor and dozen of components and rare items xD

Man do you have a Grimcalc without +skills? im following your guide to make an idea on how to build something similar to this.

Hey Tomo,

Awesome build!I am loving it! I think i see that you dont use a Vitriolic gallstone on your offhand?

What do you use instead? Also maybe can you have a list of all the components that you do use and to what items, i think it would be great for noobs like me

Thanks mate!

He stops to replay to this thread but you can find all missing information on other posts.

Which order would you suggest to grind max rep with first? Order of deaths vigil or kymon’s chosen?

Thanks in advance!

Which Factions did you go for? Death’s Vigil? does the Outcast offers anything interesting too?

Why even level Shadow Strike, you seem to be using it just for movement / escape… does Nidalla’s JE increases the damage of DEE and Gaze? it doesn’t look like… i see no buff icon or increases at my tooltip right after using it Shadow Strike…

Wouldn’t those 4 points on Anatomy of Murder be better spent on Merciless Repertoire or Possesion (Occultist)? do you need that Cunning? or does Anatomy of Murder acts as a “more” multiplier?

Why not pump a few more points in Vile Eruption? apart from the flat damage it adds it also increases the projectiles depending on the level?

Sometime next week I will do a big update to the thread. Very little has changed in my setup, but I want to include some more info and clean up the OP a bit. I’ll try to be around more to answer questions too. I’ve pretty much stopped playing GD until expansion comes out cause I’ve played so much, but I’m still active on the forums/discord so I should be doing a better job answering questions here :stuck_out_tongue:

Honestly it doesn’t matter, none of their gear is poison/acid based. I would suggest maxing one out in elite buying a ton of their augments and then leveling the other one up for ultimate so you can have access to all the augments. I would also definitely side with Anasteria

I use purified salt for the aether res. The most recent patch added 24 aether res to the dreeg armor though so you could now drop it a gallstone or w/e else. I’ll update the main post with the augments/components I use soon. The reason I didn’t off the bat is that most people will not even have the crazy green items I have so your aug/comp selection will be much different than mine.

Faction doesn’t matter as they don’t offer gear for us. Ideally you want to max one in elite, buy their augments in mass, and then switch over in ultimate for access to all possible augments. Be friendly with Ana as well for her augments

Shadow strike’s NJE modifier is not a buff for all skills. It’s 100% still worth maxing NJE. It is one of our primary damage source vs single targets, even with out the big crit damage modifier it is a strong DoT and with crits it becomes super potent. I do need to update the thread though, because leaving SS base skill at 1/16 and dumping the rest in merciless repertoire is more damage overall

The 4 points murder in murder are personal preference. I kill a lot of humans including numerous Bosses/Nemesis guys so I like to use it, but feel free to put the points elsewhere.

Vile eruption is almost entirely useless for a focused gaze DEE build, it adds very little damage but it does make it better at proccing devotions. More than 1 point is 100% a waste unless you are doing spammable DEE and even then I think it is debatable

In your video’s I see procs from Guardian’s Gaze. But Guardian’s Gaze doesn’t show up in your Grim Calc?

They’re procs from Dreeg amulet

oh right! cool beans

I played in crucible couple days ago and a guy was using this build with a chaos variant (using grim fate weapon). He was litteraly one or two shotting everything even at wave 140-150 with 6th spawn in gladiator. He was also very tanky at the same time.

He told his build was legit but I really can’t understand how. Has anyone tried to use this build with chaos/poison damage and achieve such results?

Is this build HC viable?

Why not bind Tainted Eruption to DEE

less proc, more CD, far better to be placed in DIG.
even more in 1.0.0.7 where DIG got more eye.

Noticed a lot of people asking about the Devotion Tree Pathing while leveling. Saw only one response, but it strays from the guide a LOT more than the path I found. This path in the end only requires one point to be respecced. Also, I include all the skill choices in it. However, I will say there’s at least 4 ways to do the following, this is just one example.

Start Point - Chaos Crossroads Node > Full Rat Devotion (3 Chaos, 3 Eldritch) > Full Hawk Devotion (3 Chaos, 6 Eldritch) > Full Viper Devotion (5 Chaos, 6 Eldritch, 3 Primordial — Unlocks Manticore) > All of Manticore except back leg node (Assign Acid Spray to DEE) > Full Spider Devotion (5 Chaos, 12 Eldritch, 3 Primordial) > Oklaine’s Lantern and Lizard (either order — 5 Chaos, 15 Eldritch, 2 Order, 7 Primordial — Unlocks Behemoth) > Full Behemoth (Giant’s Blood to any Aura/Buff — 7 Chaos, 18 Eldritch, 2 Order, 7 Primordial — Unlocks Abomination) > Abomination - Left and Middle Lines (Tainted Eruption to Dreeg’s Infinite Gaze AKA Mark of Dreeg Component) > Full Wendigo Devotion (Wendigo’s Mark to Dreeg’s Afflicted Spines or Curse of Frailty) > Unlock your last Devotion Points and start going up through Ulzuin’s Torch (Done at 3rd point, get the point to hit that spot from Crossroads via Respec).

Also, noticed a lot of people asking about the component on gear, there’s a LOT of response to this by other posters already, but I wanted to compile them on this same response.

Head: Hood of Dreeg (Leathery Hide)
Shoulders: Mantle of Dreeg (Silk Swatch)
Chest: Vestments of Dreeg (Chains of Oleron)
Main hand: Plaguebearer of Dreeg (Mark of Dreeg)
Offhand: Runed Dagger of Dreeg (Purified Salt)
Hands: Viperfang Grips (Unholy Inscription)
Waist: Girdle of Stolen Dreams (Dense Fur)
Legs: Stonehide Dreeg-Sect Legguards of Menhir’s Wall (Silk Swatch)
Feet: Formidable Exalted Treads of Menhir’s Wall (Mark of Mogdrogen)
Amulet: Black Gem of Dreeg (Focusing Prism)
Rings: Incorruptible Cronley’s Signet of Attack (Corpse Dust)
Rings: Incorruptible Cronley’s Signet of Attack (Corpse Dust)
Medal: Mark of Divinity (Aether Soul)
Relic: Dreeg’s Affliction

Lastly, the skill pathing seems to be unclear, even with several responses as well, so I am adding that here too.

Skills from items:
+4 to All Skills in Occultist
+5 to Terrifying Gaze
+4 to Blood of Dreeg
+8 to Vile Eruption
+2 to Blood Burst
+3 to Nidalla’s Hidden Hand
+1 to Vulnerability
+7 to Dreeg’s Evil Eye

PS: Augments should be tailored to your needs based on your gear. Use Armor Augments to fill in resistances that are not capped (base is 80% cap, but can be increased via gear, buffs, etc). For the Weapon/Accessory Augments, I would get: Nature’s Wrath/Survivor’s Ingenuity for Accessories and Nature’s Harvest/Outcast’s Venom (your choice, very little difference in damage for either slots).

Good of you to take the time for doing that!
Is this build any good in the new version i have seen talked about, i think it is called 1.08?

its called 1.0.0.8

yeah it’s still good in the latest patch.
it is still squichy and deals an amount of damage.
that build works very well without any good gear till end of elite.

in ultimate u want to stack resistents and health. don’t face tank till u got good gear  - easy life

From the OP  One of the nice things about this build is that you can play the dive/facetank style I do or you can opt to play really safe and kite for days. The build has low health/da and w/o the sick items ur regeneration/healing is weakened as well so for hardcore you will want to stack as much health/resists as you can esp for ultimate and kite as needed. You will still do plentyyy of damage

Absolutely! There were some rather minor damage/OA nerfs to the high end gear the build uses and the heal % on the Wendigo devotion to was reduced from 80% to 65%. I honestly can’t notice the difference in damage. The heal nerf is only noticeable when trying to facetank heavy hitting boss/nemesis chars or playing crucible.

just my personal opinion, mr.tomo.
i think for crucibling, it’s advised to kite all the time. it’s not hardcore kiting, i mean casual kite-unleash DEE/DIG-repeat.
this build shines really well in that aspect and tbh as The FIRST GD build i use,
i really like it the later i know stuffs about GD.

my first 50 hrs in GD using this, i blatanly facetank stuff until i was introduced to ult/cruc where i got rekt many times because of brainless facetank ego i have.

Revisiting this build after having experience with other builds, i realize that kiting with this build is the one reason that make it awesome.
Nobody can kill you if you are running around like lil’ btich while unleashing deadly toxin to their bodies
