Sorry I meant relic. Yeah sitting around 53 with Bladesworn Talisman atm. Should I be going for Bladedancer Talisman?
What other Relics are you able to craft? Try to stick to Relics with +1 to Occultist or Nightblade (Blight and Slaughter). Another option is Haunt.
If you are too limited, Bladedancer’s is definately better than Bladesworn. You also could go on wearing Mistborn Talisman for a while, if you have Mistborn and don’t have Shard of Beronath yet, that is.
Another option is aiming for Malediction at level 60.
Me again
In your video i can see a buff icon similar to possession but it’s a green one.
Where does that come from?
have ~260 hours in grim dawn and out of the builds i have played this one is the most fun and engaging to play. reminds me of playing zealer on diablo 2 somewhat except now with the whole ‘if you get stunned your gonna get messed up’ dynamic in play. currently level 81 messing around trying to grind some gear but i am going to see if i can get through crucible efficiently somehow.
only things im considering swapping around right not outside of gear are:
ulzuins torch + panther
maybe some other defensive things we can pick up… none of the ‘% plus x health restored’ devotions look any good because of how much ADCTH we have so maybe we can pick up stun immunity in the devotion tree somewhere(is this possible?)
That’s the Devout of Dreeg Aura from the Vestments of the Great Guardian chest piece. Damage wise it is barely noticeable with this build, but there is no reason not to activate it.
Glad to hear, you are heaving a blast. You could see it at as Dark Zealer, the gameplay is similar straight forward
As for Devotions: Sure, those 7 points are free to pick. Even though I’d recommend keeping the three points in Ulzuin’s Torch, the bonuses are pretty powerful.
You can skill into Empty Throne, for example. I did, for a long time. Or any other defensive Devotion to your liking, which is reachable. Actualy, I only skilled into Panther for Nemesis killing times and had Empty Throne selected for most of the time.
Another good way to increase Stun Resistance is a pair of crafted Heavy Boots. Stonehide prefix does the trick.
Is there a reason why you don’t put 1 point into sigil of consumption? For a point, you get a free 15% atk dmg to health
The 15% ADCTH just apply on the damage Sigil itself inflicts, which is neglectable.
You’d have to invest several points into Sigil and Destruction to make it worthwhile and noticeable.
Thanks for the advice! I ground out a Slaughter and it’s a solid upgrade. This build has had me ripping through the content solo and has been a ton of fun to play thanks for putting it together!
Any advice on components I should be using at 60? I am feeling a bit lost there.
Sounds good.
Components are mostly a question of Resistances, HP and other Stats. I’d say Kilrian’s Shattered Soul in the chest always comes in handy, because the stats fit the build. Mark of Mogdrogen in the boots is also a no brainer and Consecrated Wrappings in the gloves will boost your DPS. Corpse Dust in the Rings will increase your HP and so on. Shard of Beronath in one Weapon is BiS.
But for the final setup you might want to hit Ultimate and look at your Resistances/Stats. Are you lacking something? If so, try to wear the responding Component.
Nevertheless, I recommend wearing the Components presented in my Grimtools link. But as I said, you can swap them out, if you are lacking in another department.
Why are u using a master’s spellblade for your offhand?
That’s 95 base dps give or take.
I just dropped a bloodsworn wand whose base dps is 109.
Maybe i didn’t understand something in the game or the build in particular.
This dagger is chosen because of the flat Resistance Reduction (base stat of the Master’s Spellblade)
Exactly. It can roll with up to 30 flat Resistance Reduction. Otherwise, you’d have to take Manticore Devotion, to make up for that.
Paper DPS shown on the character screen often don’t show the true damage output. Additionally, the Suffix “of the Abyss” on the Master’s Spellblade, adds another good chunk of base Chaos Damage.
damn, lot to learn in this game and information is kinda hard to get in this game.
I come from PoE with the sickest wiki since arreat summit
Thx for the info guys
Edit : btw a quick question, i saw your vid farming Fabius, so i thought i’d give it a shot seemed pretty easy…
i got WRECKED xD which Nemesis would you say is the easiest to farm with low gear? xD
And bonus question, i checked my stats, i have a bit more DA than u do and about 700 armor, with 9k+ life. I get one shotted by Fabius.
Why? xD
Edit again : i think i answered my second question with that post :
i have -45% piercing resist, that must not help xD
The information gathering is okay in GD, but I have to admit, there is no Wiki out there, which gathered all the information available into one place. The Gamepedia Wiki is pretty nice though.
Nevertheless, you’d have to read some forum threads for even more advanced mechanics and a complete picture.
-45% Pierce Resistance, that’s an invitation to get killed by Fabius and Cronley’s Gang. Have you completed Ultimate with that?
Try to farm Cronley’s Signets, they help with Pierce Resistance and are also BiS for this build. Also, use Bladeward Powder Augment from the Devil’d Crossing Faction Vendor.
Another option is wearing Empowered Legplates of Valor as well as Golemborn Greaves.
yeah i finished the game like that, let’s just say i’m glad i’m not playing HC
i’ll try to get those boots to drop, they’re pretty nice ^^
Nice, grats anyway. No, this build is definately not the safest choice for playing HC.
Btw, imo, Fabius is the easiest Nemesis to farm and kill. He is rather quick to find and you can do a Cronley run on the way.
But that’s also a bit dependent on the build. Some caster and ranged classes have bigger problems with Fabius then with Moosi or Benn’Jhar.
But you definately need to boost your Pierce Resistance for that. Some skill (Circle of Slaughter) or proc (Mark of the Apostate) to make him Fumble also helps alot.
Btw, talking about res reduction, is there a cap to it?
No, but there are limits, provided by the game itself.
The only source of RR that stacks infinately is -% RR (for example: Curse of Frailty, Eldritch Fire Devotion proc, Fang of Ch’thon proc, etc.).
The RR sources - flat RR (for example: Manticore’s Acid Spray, Rhowan’s Crown’s Elemental Storm, Master’s Spellblade) and % Reduced Target’s Resistances (for example: Essence of Ch’thon Augment, of the Abyss item Suffix, Maw of Despair’s Proc) will only be stacked once with each other and applied once.
They can’t stack with other sources of the same RR mechanic, only the highest value will apply in that case (for example: putting an Essence of Ch’thon on your Weapon and proccing Maw of Despair will result in only the RR of Maw of Despair applying).
That’s why a Master’s Spellblade of the Abyss is so nice, because it itself will apply two stacking sources of RR, which afterwards only can be increased by -% RR sources like CoF. That way, you can focus on wearing gear and taking Devotions, you otherwise had to invest in to apply those two RR sources provided by Master’s Spellblade of the Abyss.
In short, you are limited by the amount of -% RR sources available to your build and damage type (because many builds will achieve at least 15% Reduced Target’s Resistances and -30 flat RR in some way).
That means my dualwielding of Master’s spellblade is actually pretty bad
Thx for that answer
That’s definately not the best idea.
