Hmm strange that you died there. You can also try Pyroclasm shotgun. Also has % WP dmg. Don’t stay too long in melee. You shouldn’t waste in deadly momentum singe cadence isn’t maxed. It’s not of help for this build. Instead do 12/12 war cry and break morale if you didn’t. i’d sooner get rune og haggarad+chillsurge for burst +DoTt

I know its Strange but it rly was no help, the Regin of Fire felt clunky as hell and actually didnt do much at all since mob normally sit in a range of 0-3 meter from me while fighting and not 5-6 meter way like the procc would need. Also i wont heal from it since no % WP Dmg. With the Balance Ring Set i made it 150 even if i missed the timer few times and needed a Blessing(hp)

Well Deadly Momentum Add to all Attacks not just Cadence. Means more % Damage and Flat IT+Physical Dmg. (i have 13 points used in total on Cadence Line with Deadly Momentum).

IF i would go for Haggarad Rune it would be one big problem, no skill points even if i use the 13 points from Cadence(i would NOT like it btw since it removed another source of healing and reduces the “Elemental Knight”-Feeling i totally like in this Build and shift it towards a caster play style.

I will go on some Testing ofc to see how i could work out but atm i dont rly see how it would work out.

  1. But that is exactly what it is and made it to be. A Proc tanky caster:p Don’t try to get all from both worlds, you will get mediocre results from both worlds, speaking of which…
  2. Cadence- What dmg and lifesteal do you think you will do with a lvl 4 cadence? The flat dmg from momentum, how well do you capitalize on it with a lvl 4 cadence and 8% wp dmg procs?

It’s not that there are 0 benefits, it’s that the cost far outweigh them in this particular case. same for word of agony btw. Those skills would be 100x better in rune or max candece.

So my final 2 cents, don’t spread out like this. Also not maxing break morale is a big dps loss, War cry should be lvl 10 minimum for survival and good coverage.

Hm i see well i was under the impression the fighting Style in Melee was intended(and like said the Elemental Knight Style made it intressing for me, i had enough from hit and run casters and also enough from Melee fighters that basicly do nothing flashy at all)

For much i think i would benefit Cadence even on lvl 4 with deadly momentum does 9k non-crit and about 20k crit with 14% Adcth it should be around 2k heal ever time cadence hits on average, with no cadence(3rd hit) it still deal 5.6k non-crit and 12k crit so 1232 heal on every hit that ist not the 3rd Cadence hit. Mathemathical this mean a 8.5% Max health heal on my 14k HP every hit on average.
Thats my take on cadence(no Beronath active, no Menir bonus) even if throu resitances everythhing would be only halfed it would still mean a significant improvment to dmg and survivabillity.

As for Flat Dmg Boost of Deadly momentum uhm it doesnt add i self to any 8% WP-dmg Prcc? :smiley: It adds toooo 15% Ring-Procc, 18% Helm-Procc, 35 % Fiend-Procc, 22% Bat-Procc, 40 % Targos-Hammer and last but not Least the 100%-187% of Cadence. Not to forget that the Adcth also work on every procc and gets boosted by the Flat-Dmg.

Ofc i see that to get the Maximum benefit for Cadence i would need to max it but thats not actually the plan to go for Cadence as Dmg-Source its to get more flat-Dmg from Deadly Momentum everywhere :slight_smile:

If i where to play it as a tanky Caster thou i totally see the reason for not taking it at all since well we wouldnt use it much since we neither would go tanking stuff to procc much of the on Block Proccs and Relic but would just take it as a Bonus. Aka Melee would be avoided.

I Mainly took word of Agony to have a higher spread for Word of Pain with rank 13 in WoA i have 7 Meter Range for Word of Pain, sofar i was under the impression the more Area i can cover the more Fiend-Procc i will get and the better my clear time, maybe i over did it at that point and the increase in range isnt nessary? If the basic 3meter Range is enough i could totally specc out of it.

Checked the changed build and will try to find a middleway that doesnt screw up :stuck_out_tongue:

Hey, whatever works in the end:) I did have 1 pt cadence &max momentum in my 1st setup so i can’t argue. But that is because with my class combo there was not much else to do, and not enough skill points pre AoM. With your class combo there are other things to explore.

Btw your lifesteal is good but those numbers are not so generous vs bosses that matter(not that you shouldn’t focus on it but just saying:) ). Also 1st and 2nd cadence hits don’t lifesteal because there is no %wpdmg in them, unless you get wps. I recommend you get ZT only if you decide on them. Having both severely hinders dps due to animations

Yeah there are some possibillities here:

I tried the Ice Rune but for some reason the Dot never crits and so the dmg is relatively low(around 7k vs a Training Dummy).

The Reduced area on WoP its clearly a factor but not as bad as i thought it would be.

Didnt try the fire rune sofar. But prolly wont since this all goes was to much into a spammy caster-play style. Guess that a job for someone else :stuck_out_tongue:

atm i shifted points away from Counterstrike and Word of Agony to maximize War Cry and Break Moral, put cadence on 16 and push Word of Renewal.

Does Lifesteal rly not work on first 2 Cadence hits? o.o i mean they do 100% weapon dmg since they are default attacks. even the Normal Default attack used Lifesteal why dont the first 2 hits of Cadence? it that is the case it would be pretty illogical xD

afaik you need %wp dmg to life steal and only 3rd hit has that. Given the mechanic it sounds logical since the first 2 hits are basically just plain flat phys dmg.

First 2 hits deal common 100% WD without flat component from Cadence and they are common default attack without any Cadence’s bonuses.

Yes but doesn’t it need to state %WD to activate lifesteal

Think of Cadence like a WPS with 100% activation chance on the third successive hit. But unlike other WPS Cadence overrides your default attack as well

Basically the first two are default attacks which have a %WD component and can activate other WPS and then the third hit is Cadence.

So all three hits can effectively life steal

Ok then:) lifesteal seemed so low outside of cadence procs that never even thought of it

Seems like my assumption was right Lifesteal works on every hit of Cadence.

Sofar with all the changes i can farm 100-150 with a 90% success rate. :smiley:
