Finally someone gets why I like making build guide that gives others as much freedom as possible.
To answer your question, yes you would want to get wendingo for ultimate. And pure caster is very under-powered right now without the gimmick of Mirror + hourglass + stacking shit load of cdr, so in ultimate I would recommend get a few levels in grasping vine and just kite some of the toughest mobs (like the colossus dudes in AoM. You just can’t facetank them + their buddies)
But my point is, if I’m gonna facetank them, I need the totem; if I’m gonna run around, the totem will not help me (I’m not gonna be near it), this is why I’m asking.
I’m still fairly low level but I’m not liking how some of the skills feel. Is there a high lvl gameplay video of this build in action? All I’m doing is throwing anything thats off cooldown. I’m thinking of replacing bwc for canister for more aoe, and am considering replacing stun jacks. Stun jacks dont seem to have a very good range or predictable spreads. Is it okay to switch to grenado or mortar? Mortar seems ok, set it and forget it type of thing.
Been following this build after trying out some other builds. Most fun I had. I’m new to GD as well, so this is my highest char (50). Doing Vet AoM atm.
I’ve found that Kymon’s People is pretty good, the Chosen Arcanespark scepter they have has the potential to get some fairly high elemental % rolls on it, and since those boost both fire and lightning, it’s been working great for me.
In normal/veteran, I chose to side with The Chosen for access to their Aether Resist stuff, though it’s likely that in Elite I’ll go against them, and help them again in Ultimate. (especially since I didn’t even use any of their gear, I just loaded up on Purified Salt components for Act 6/Port Valbury)
The only one that I found was really not worth it was Barrowholm (act 5), since it’s all necromancer stuff.
Is there any particular skill that i should max out? Should I focus on the ones that decrease enemy resistances? Like agonizing flame, thermite mine, or Raging tempest?
Yeah I gotta agree with gutz on this one. Not so bad to have to use spirit pots heavy, it’s different when you apply that thought to health pots obviously but I mean yeah. I’ve had builds that rely on spirit pot use and they work fine… No reason not to use them. Having a build that would burn through spirit pots fast enough where you are dependent on it and it’s still on cooldown… Now that would be a problem.
