OMG now it makes absolute sense… On top of his hard hitting physical damage he has % life damage added on top of that with constant DoT? Damn… I guess, I got myself into bigger trouble trying to avoid Ravager of Minds.
I also noticed the blood pools+ life stealing was what made my fight with him so long. His annoying energy leech was making me miss my buff upkeeps as well.
Yes, the Ravager is an animal (pun intended). I didn’t have the full Stoneguard set so I used a Mythical Hammerfall Girdle instead for the belt slot. One with a particular huge 36% armour increase. This worked in my favour, I guess, because the bleed reduction on the girdle + Stone Form from Menhir decreased his bleed DoT by about 80%.
You see, Fluff’s Witchblade setup would be ideal here because it uses fevered rage. This cuts the DoTs fast because Stone Form proc is ultimately dependent on how fast you’ll get hit. I didn’t used fevered rage on the “of Flesh” Ravager 'cos I didn’t have the Stoneguard set completed in order to get that huge +100% armour bonus. Perhaps one day I will try this setup, but my assumption is that the poison DoTs done by Mind Ravager are minor compared to the bleed ones.
Anyway, the fastest way to do the Ravager of Flesh would be a DoT build…more precisely, a very mobile DoT build that has huge HP regen.

And probably a butt-load of DA. With you constantly praying not to get critted. His super high phy dmg and additional -flat RR, causes phy damage to be guaranteed to hurt, or one-shot on crit on anything that’s not a tank.
I’m scratching my head now on how to approach this guy on my caster B.M. and Poison SS Witch Hunter. Both in HC so I’m not even sure if I even want to risk it even on Elite.

Just beat ravager of flesh with my wps bm.(brought a ranged dps though)
I overcapped bleed/vit and stacked some health/armor and adcth.
I used 2 lifestealer rings and the hammerfall girdle. And golemborn boots.
Did they nerf him? It wasn’t easy but I had a hell of a lot more problems with mogdrogen.

I know this is a build to kill ravarger but out of curiosity did you ever try this build in crucible to see what happens?
I tried a retailation/phys hybrid with this guy. Tried hard with different combos. Sadly Retal is weak in crucible unless you fully dedicate, and if you do that, then you can’t kell non melee. Se then I dropped retaliation and ended up with what’s in the link.
Personally I don’t recommend retal beyond Capaign. Maybe dawnbreaker hybrid that has Wind devils or totems. Otherwise no
