I think 33 raw chaos dmg + 70% extra conversion fire -> chaos for Firestrike (combined with Voidfire to become 95+%) is much better than a source of dmg that only occurs at 15% chance. From the math, DPS is significantly higher.
Raw fire dmg from Flame Touched and other sources added to weapon dmg are also converted I guess.
I’m just a bit confused, when the item does the dmg conversion for Firestrike, does it convert for Brimstone also?

Any suggestions on what to look for next to improve the items on this toon? I’m on Act 1 Elite about to take on the Warden and his crew. I know I am looking for the lvl 65 Marauder Belt and Fire Pistol. I’m thinking it might help to farm Warden a bit.
I do need to rework the resists at some point since I’m so overcapped on Fire (120% alone from chest). I’ll plan to farm some more rep once I complete Elite before I start Ultimate for better augments.
I’ve been playing around with skills and respecced back to mostly fire strike. I’ll add back BWC later. At this level BoD has been super helpful.

I also dropped blackwater cocktail for bloody pox with decay since it took less skill points and removed more OA so as to be more tanky, but i dont really know if it was that worth it. I also used voidsteel because i did not have a harbinger gloves anywhere.
I strongly recommend you farm for some Bloodsworn Repeater with good affixes. Also look at this, this and this.
Another nice setup. Try to replace Scholar’s light and Jackal with Behemoth for more regen.

I cringed at Reaper sending your hp to the triple digits (seemed liked it) and Mad Queen make your health plummet twice in a row in less of a second. Guess i’m a pussy who likes to play more defensively.
yep going defensively will gimp up this build… at least 2.6k da should be fine and then blast away!

Edit: Just looked at the item database and really nothing better. Only Infernal Knight shoulders but those are worse. Maybe Benn’Jhar shoulders with good affixes.
Benn’s shoulders require tons of farming, I’m too lazy for that There are many nice builds using MIs from the other people in comments above. I position mine as less gear depend.
I’m having a little trouble with the devotion setup. I can get it to work in Grimtools, but when I try in game I end up having dependencies I can’t remove to get those last few points needed. I was using Fiend for unlocking a few of the T3 constellations, but can’t figure out how to free it up to remove.

why bind frenzy to blast shield and not to regular aura?
That’s provide a save in most dangerous situations. May attach to any aura though.
