What a coincidence I was thinking about the same, using same set to arm up mage hunter this morning.
Your build is more contained to defense comparing to mine .
Here is my concern: 1 you have less res reduction, lower cast speed, thus longer time in battle. 2 even though DA is raised to 2800, but in fact it’s not helpful at all. it’s not enough to defend incoming damage. 3 By using seal you will enjoy higher percentage of damage absorption, however it’s a confinement to your self as well since you will be forced to stand on it to make it work, which in actual use ,not so easy. Given all sorts of flooring attacking skills, it’s better to move to attack rather than to facetank.
Despite of what’s been said, it’s a really good try, loving it how you max up death sentence and agony word.
Yes, WoP skill line provide some interesting combo for aether focused arcanist.
Responsing to your concerns:
Unless I am missing something from your build, I think our RR should be pretty much the same. 20/12 Death sentence provide the same amount of Aether RR as capped Spectral Wrath (33%). It’s also bound to arcane bomb for additional RR. It also equipped seal of corruption and its ability should be bound to time dilation (or time dilation to word of pain and seal of corruption to arcane bomb. IDK, need testing).
Cast speed is lower because I choose star pact rather than reckless power for CDR. Because I think CDR is more valuable in this build so the defensive skill can be cast often.
No comment on that, need testing. I am not that experienced in this game
That is also my concern about using inquisitor seal in caster. But, after seeing your vid that you almost always stand your ground in the face of enemy, I decided to try it. The performance need to be tested though.
This build is on the move always so seal is no go, it would die even with lvl 22 seal if it tried to tank, especially since it has a delay after activation ( a bit too long imo). Spellbinder is solid for his build
I dont quite like inquisitor seal for 2 reasons. First is it fades away with time Second its working area is not too wide. When in battle with all the visual effects going on, sometimes it’s hard to notice whether you are standing on it or not, or whether it’s still there. These 2 factors turns this survivability-promoting skill into a promising killer
I do hope designers consider enlarging its area at max levels.
I have a mythical band of eternal huant that provides -15% aether RR.
I noticed you choose star pact over reckless power. More CDR is one way to boost your defense circle, however lower CDR and RR would be prolonged battle time which will offset your effects in defense and bring more unknown danger into the extended moments. This is my concern.
But please give it a try . then you will gain experience about what to be adjusted with your BD. ~
