[1.0.6.1] Primal Ultos - A supercharged PS >Conjurer< of Storms 150-170 Gladiator in 8:50

Totally, especially in BoC where phys dmg starts to hurt bad at lvl 90:D

The only case of note with disruption is Grava and that’s his Blitz, stay near him and he’ll never use it. Every other skill disruption in the game is a poison pool that you HAVE to get out of it anyway or you’ll get constantly disrupted regardless of resistance. And pretty much all of the poison pools disrupt for like a second. If you can’t back off for like a second or two to let the disruption end, then something is wrong with how you play.

Seal of Blades is still superior to Haunted Steel in every regard.

Real talk tho, I leveled all of my chars with Lokkar till 94, I’ve always hit 94 in act 2 of Ultimate (5 acts in Veteran, 4 acts in Elite). It’s a damn good set except the armor/phys res part.

Distruption resist does help, because sometimes you get a nasty distruption curse when you can’t use your skills for couple of seconds. But I agree that positioning is way more important then having distruption res in Cruc.

Eh, i had Ultos and wanted fast leveling. But good on you, good training:D

Darius Cronley can throw a “grenade”, that causes one-time disruption. Dont say you dont know it.
Yes, you’re right, “poison pools” disrupt for 1 second with 1 sec interval. So, if you have 80% resist, you will be disrupted for 0.2 sec every 1 second, and have 0.8 sec every second to use skills. It’s far better than be locked almost 100% of the time. And as far as i know, this build doesnt even have a movement skill to quickly reposition himself. Sure, it’s better to evade those pools, but sometimes you’ll get rooted in it, or blocked by enemies.

Haunted Steel provides 8% ADCTH, and an active skill for extra ADCTH on demand. Seal of Blades provides 5% ADCTH and a bit a armour+pierce resist. So no, Seal of Blades isnt superior in every regard.

Uh, no. Poison pools will constantly disrupt you, regardless of skill disruption resistance. There are no intervals. I know this because i have to get out of them with my character that have Possession or else i can do nothing. Cronley grenade doesn’t cause skill disruption, every melee attack from him has a 7% chance to cause disruption for one second and a half and he dies too fast anyway.

Again, skill disruption resistance is easily one of the lowest priority resists you need to get, along with petrify. Don’t know what your obsession with skill disruption resistance is, but it’s not that important.

And yes, Seal of Blades is superior in every way. The 8% armor is not “a bit”, it gives a sizeable boost to armor because how big the armor rating numbers are now and it helps you cap pierce resist. Not to mention that extra 3% ADCTH and a skill that has a 26 seconds cooldown doesn’t make up for the loss of the above when you can already tank so well.

This is a 151-170 build. Aside from poison pools, only Grava disrupts you. And if this can handle Grava disruption then it should deal with cronley just fine. Also remember health potion cannot be disrupted. You already know which waves have disruption. Save your potion for those waves. If you still die then it’s already your fault.

It must be my fault, so…
I’ve died with this build (using BiS gear, of course) in 30-40 waves (actually fighting, not being AFK or something)… I tried many builds. Playing Crucible with anything aside of my forcewave build or cadence “sword&board”, i feel like i’m playing a paper doll, and get killed over and over again, even before “all-feared” 151-170 waves…
Ok, it’s time to move on, and try yet another build, that’s supposed to stomp over 151-170 waves, and makes it faster than Forcewave. Maybe, Phantasmal Blades?

You can try ArcanorFW if you are into it

Personally Ultos felt safer due to it’s awesome killing power but Arcanor was very much fun nevertheles. Can do 7-7:30 min with ease if no lag

Looks too squishy, but i think i’ll give a try to more tanky version - https://www.grimtools.com/calc/a2d5o1QV

If builds that destroy 150+ are troublesome for you pre 150 it might simply mean you need to spend more time at 150 to get used to it. I would not generalize

Also the Stalwart thing is really old now. You take away elemental balance rings you take away a good chunk of killing power, so ability to clear dangerous things on screen and less life steal. You give the build something with one hand and take away 2x with the other

its so weird to me that tanky version of your build has only %6 physical resist… with decent game play vs some hard waves you will be just fly away to moon with that amount of armor and phys res, if you are not a kite king tbh. i see you cap DA which is super low chance to be hit but trust me it wont solve jackshit cause i tried it a lot. its sooo good to have high DA but cant save you with that amount of phys res.

and if you really think tankiest char for crucible is cadence or s&b soldiers, i highly advice you to play some casters variant in GD.

to me melee esp dw melee is super shitty spot compare to some well built casters for crucible, i have some casters that can clear 150 170 glad without buffs banners and sometimes not even using pots, also 2 of my melee toons can clear crucible with no buffs no banners aswell and non of them has soldier :eek:melee toons cant success most of the time ofc, with bad mutators you fucked up*

ultos conjurer or druid pretty much decapitates crucible due to insane dmg output and unstoppable amount of high crit rate with huge oa. this build is literally fine and well rounded to me

Just curious, do you guys find Avenger Girdle better than Gladiator Distinction?
With Avenger Girdle:

  • gain 1200 HP (from 17500-18700), build already has plenty though
  • gain some pierce resists (which is actually useful, since this build lacks it)
  • gain 3K dps (from 169 K to 172), which is pretty marginal

Compared to Gladiator Distinction we

  • lose like 130 OA
  • lose around 120 armor (which this build kinda rly needs)
  • lose 1%? crit (well 5% from the belt, but I gain 4% more crit from Stormcaller pact)

What you guys think?

+1 all shaman skills is quite hard to beat imo prolly impossible… but if you dont have avenger belt and gladiator one in your bank, its great option aswell. still this belt is better option than gladiator belt due to how important +1 skill is

Gladiator Distinction really does nothing for this build because it’s a physical belt. Only thing of worth is the flat physical to convert to lightning.

Girdle of Stolen Dreams is a better option to compete with Avenger’s Girdle because of the massive OA (it can roll 150+ OA and 4% OA) and +1 to Occultist skills.

I actually have all the belts you guys posted. They definitely look like a good options but I am not sure I agree that Gladiator Distinction does nothing for the build (not just the stats of the belt itself, but also the stats from Gladiator Presence). It gives % crit damage, a lot of OA (flat + %), + 2 feral hunger and solid armor boost. Girdle of the stolen dreams gives about same OA as Gladiator (maybe a tiny bit more), +1 Occultist is nice, but we lose crit% and armor (and it gives vitality damage that is useless for this build as well). Idk, maybe I am totally wrong here and there are “hidden” bonuses which you cant directly see from spreadsheet stats for which is better to take the other belts.

Hi, so I just joined the game and I was looking at this build. But I honestly am struggling to figure out how to read the talents that where picked. I know it’s a user error on my end.

But I was hoping someone could tell me how I can look at the build. Or where all talents just purchased?

use grimtools link provided in the guide, click the book icon (below health bar) to view skills/devotions.
use ctrl+shift to show the hard points into skills (without +to skills bonuses)

that’s it i think?

Hi Fluff,
AFAIK you mentioned somewhere you used 2* Glyph of Kelphat Zoth rings to clear the crucible even faster. I just found the blueprint for it and I would like to try it out, but I am curious, how did u manage to cap resists with those rings? (particularly pierce resists, which sits around 15% with glyph rings, using the same setup as you).

thanks

There is more than one way to do it.

You can replace a living armor with titan plating and ancient armor with scaled hide or this:
https://www.grimtools.com/calc/JVlYAk5Z

You sacrifice some HP and orcap res. Rearranged augments a bit and put the overcap points from Storm pact in Oak skin. There are probably other ways, I don’t remember how exactly I did it ~6 weeks ago
