It’s not about “hit or miss”, as you can see. When I aim at primary target, it just always hits, no matter of radius (target always takes damage - you can see that on video). It’s about “procs or no”. So “Yes, indeed” - it is about math. 48% is not 100%, do you understand it? Sometimes it just hits but does not proc… and repeats it for several seconds. Though, the weirdest part is that sometimes it hits, it actually PROCS (i.e. you see a big green puff), but it does not affect target with RR (cyan-colored rune-like sign), dunno why.

Then take my build, replace Ill Omen with Earth and kill Ravager faster than me. Geez, like I haven’t tried it… I have even tried to create a mod which changes Ravager’s radius and scale (didn’t help at all)!

As for physical damage, well - we’ve been talking about it just a bit above. First, maxed Ill Omen (14/10) is 27% DR for 10 skillpoints, while maxed Decay (14/12) is 26% DR for 13 points (1 extra to RE). Second, you have to cast RE more often than Omen, which reduces your dps by 2,6%. What you win is 92% uptime of the bomb (compared to 87,6% uptime with Sacred)… so I don’t think it’s worth 3 extra skillpoints + reduced dps.

for dw where the two weapons have different lifesteal values it will show as 3-8%, for example, in-game. In grimtools it would have a display error cause it will simply add the lifesteal on both weapons (idk about the updated versions cause I use an offline grimtools that I downloaded when 1.0.6.1 came out)

I’m surprised too. To be honest, I’m surprised by A LOT of stuff in his video. For example, I’m surprised why the hell does he:

• … use crappy Reaper instead of perfect Agrivix;
• … transmute Callidor, just to use auto-attack (! LOL) when all spells are on cd;
• … max Bone Harvest, while having +2442% Aether and just +470% (!!!) Vitality, and having just a few RRs to Vitality (while he could have maxed Reap, for example, which has Aether damage as well);

and so on, and so forth. THESE are things I’d really like to discuss! Not some pointless stuff like “RE vs Ill Omen”.

Unless Crate missed something then the 1.0.6.0 build is very applicable here.

I’m sure other minor (but still important) stuff wasn’t either. Maybe he has modified RE and/or Bone Harvest too? Otherwise I just don’t see much logic in the build of that Japanese dude.

This is why not even video proofs are enough to demonstrate build performances, it is pretty easy to mod Grim Dawn - both to nerf and buff stats, monsters, skills you name it.

Still, RE is good because is grants you 92% uptime compared to 87,6% uptime using Sacred.
Basically, there is no much difference (even though I still think that you still have a little bit more dps with Omen, plus 1% more physical damage reduction). It just does not matter THAT MUCH. What DOES matter, on the other hand, are questions mentioned in the start of this post!

It was me who said it was easy, and farming for two months… c’mon dude I mean you should be proud of what you have found in terms of items but some of us have farmed much longer than that.

I think we/them just want to try the build without playing it with macros and see how “forgiving” it is to human mistakes (that is something I take into account when I do my builds, how easy and comfortable they are to play - on a bad day, or when you have played non-stop in 4 hours and your ass hurts LOL)

I was surprised by the lack of manticore, not by the entirety of the build performing like that. That setup is one of the most tried and tested setup in all of GD since AoM was released. I won’t explain it very long, but it’s basically CT+BH nukes powered by devastations, conversions and huge cdr. If you can’t believe the power then you can try calculating if that can even show the consistency and power of that build.

You’ve only played for 2 months. 1.0.6.1 existed since June. I’d believe the patch notes. Stop coming up with excuses that another setup can beat your cleartime. You’re a new player. Don’t expect yourself to be the best right away.

The guy wanted to test your exact build with good intentions and you respond like shit. I don’t see anything here but a sign of fear that your build can still be tweaked for better, falsifying your claims that what you showed is the best that it can ever be.

As someone in this thread has said (or was it in the other thread that looked like an ad?). The community for singleplayer games are built by trust. In the same way that we trusted you before the macro thing was revealed, I would assume that there is nothing harmful in that japanese guy’s video unless the author states otherwise or we find an evidence that there was a game-changing mod used.

It was me who said it was easy, and farming for two months… c’mon dude I mean you should be proud of what you have found in terms of items but some of us have farmed much longer than that.

Then take YOUR char (you’ve got a SB, right? otherwise what you would you do in this thread), equip it with YOUR stuff (you’ve got crapload of stuff after farming “much longer than that”, right?), and try it, with or without macro - as long as you don’t create an injecting bot which produces totally impossible gameplay, I don’t care.

I’m sure there are experts who can tell you if video was edited or no… otherwise courts would never accept video as proofs.

However, I’d say we really need marks like “Campaign” / “Custom game” in some screen corner, much like “Absolute” / “Gladiator”. Even better, if it uses another font and/or color - this will make video editing impossible enough.

I did already - was not even close to 3 min. But then again, I’m not a pro Hourglass user… sometimes I just don’t realize that it did indeed proc, so my skills stay unused. And, well, I just die too much in this build. TD has 9.3s cd (at least, using my eq), while Mirror + Mark cover just 3 + 5 sec. Ok, I can survive for 1,3 sec w/o absorbs, but TD does not insta proc - it needs Callidor hit (which can be on cd at that moment). Cd of TD is not displayed, so… I just don’t understand how the heck does this build work.

Then you’ll have to use BOTH Omen and RE. First, it’s gonna occupy a quickslot (which means one less potion). Second, when you cast an extra spell - you don’t cast an extra Callidor (you can’t cast two spells at the same time, can you?), which hurts dps. Nonono, the only viable option is to drop Omen completely, and replace it with 1 into RE + 12 into Decay. Besides, REYM (that Japanese dude) does exactly this.

Oh, and btw, while we are at it! There is one of his items blinking on his video at 3:22 for some milliseconds - his hat. I mean, 35% total damage (vs 34% average - mkay), and 99% Aether (vs 87% average - not bad!), AND 7% cd reduction at the same time (vs 6% average) at the same time - wtf is that? Extreme luck, or…?

Yes I think it does matter - with Ill Omen you should do a bit more average dps. But yes, the difference is quite small - about 1% maybe. What’s wrong with you? You see contradiction where there are none.
