DA affects the chance to be hit and this can do the difference too
2700 OA vs 2800 DA = 87.2 PTH
2700 OA vs 3000 DA = 81.5 PTH
True, considering that there are many many things that comes flying towards you in that fight.
I managed to boost DA up to 2.9k now

I could get another ingenuity in ring but I want all resistances capped for all purpose stuff in MC.
I will do some more tweeks. Thanks for all the help
BTW I did notice that you bound hourglass to Blitz on the S&B version. I bind it to Krieg wrath so that is 100% chance of activate. On Blitz it has 68% chance.
Blitz has 2.9 seconds recharge, so I donât care if it procs earlier or later for 2 seconds. I just keep pressing that button all the time and spam Blitz as often as possible
So i finally dropped a second Mindwarp to try 2w version and i must say that S&B feels much smoother in my case. I use Mark of the Dreadblade instead of Direwolf though. Itâs much more forgiving. Dual Wield feels like you have all disadvantages of n&o infiltrators and korba tricksters while no actual advantage, only much weaker rr and killing speed overall.
Mark of the Dreadblade doesnât allow to dual wield melee weapons.
Are you certain you play dw setup right now? Because with Mark of the Dreadblade only main weapon is active.
You are comparing DW krieg with the best two (?) Dw melee builds? I think the point of Krieg is that it is easy to farm and is thus a good budget option for new(er) players.
And how do you even dual wield without direwolf? Are you using a relic that enable dualwielding instead?
I love the dw krieg, and without this build thread I would have actually not have thought of that idea lol
I expressed myself unclearly. I meant that i unlike you use the Mark in the s&b setup, mostly in order to compensate the att speed loss and fire res bonus besides the raw aether damage and the welcomed reaping strike and cadence bonus.
I am not saying that it is a bad idea or something. I just expected it to be more tanky even without the shield, counting soldier as a basic tank class. But yes, the shield gives really noticeable portion of survivability in this build even though it is not meant to be the best tank overall.
Basically dw setup cannot be compared to s&b because with shield you have Overguard and Will of Menhir. DW setup gives more damage in exchange of survivability. But its damage is superior to s&b.
I still have not managed to kill Lokarr with the DW setup. Tried more than 10 times. I take fire and lightning resistance potion before fight. I am amazed how you can facetank him in 23 seconds. The only DW builds I can facetank Lokarr with involves high rank Inquisitor Seal
This is nice build, how you got 17K HP i have no idea
impressive how u kill lokaar
You can try Prismatic Diamond then. It will save you from burn dots just like Seal does
I canât say I used so much tactics in that fight, but kiting Lokarr doesnât really lead to any good. If you try to kite with burn applied, that burn will kill you real quick.
I guess you looked at Crucible video where I had Blessing of Empyrion granting 80% additional hp.
Screenshots from campaign attached to OP show only 14-15k hp.
Yeah the burn just rip him to ashes
EDIT: still no luck with Prismatic Diamond
Can you post a Grimtools for the S&B variation without items boosting the skills?
Also, maybe Iâm missing something, but some of those allocations donât quite make sense to me. Whatâs the point of all of those points into Soul Harvest? Is the Cold and Vitality damage really that useful with this build? Wouldnât those points be more useful in something like Blindside for more Blitz damage?
Thanks.
The build has conversion, magelord rings for example elemental to aether,so he is adding flat aether damage to every single attack.
That part makes sense, but it only works for 5 seconds after casting Bone Harvest, right? Is it really worth dumping all those points into it and then keeping BH active in the rotation?
What exactly is the ideal rotation for this build?
I feel like there are a lot of skills to try to keep up and condensing the skill point distribution + rotation would increase DPS overall, but I may be completely ignorant about this. Iâm pretty new to min-maxing in this game still.
Thanks again!
Youâre right that Bone harvest needs to be recasted in order to apply buff,itâs not convenient cause disrupt rhythm, but ofc is hard to pass flat damage on melee,itâs too good.As for the skill has some buttons, but most of skills have high cooldown so doubt this build is hard to be piloted.
This build has 9 buttons to press in addition to th 3 toggles - the rotation is ridiculously bloated:
-Aether Corruption
-Kriegâs Wrath
-Bone Harvest
-Doomforce
-Mark of Torment
-Overguard
-Warcry
-Blitz
-Cadence
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck that. Am I really expected to press all those buttons on every fight? I donât even use that many buttons in an MMO like WoW. Is there a competitive Death Knight built that has 5 or fewer buttons?
My man Overguard is only shield skill,so youâll not use it in dw version. Also you can skip Doomforce, and toggles are apply once. That mean 7 buttons including left and right mouse. If you want you can drop some of other skills, but is not recommended.Siphon souls will heal you,BH offers flat damage, aether corruption RR and War cry is for debuff. If you feel you donât need one of these you can skipped,itâs your call.
