You can skip Doomforce and Aether corruption if you want (get wrathstone instead)
And the rotation is more like:
War Cry
Boneharvest
Krieg stomp
Bliz
Cadance x 10
You only use Overguard and mark of torment when you need them
If you wanna play a one-button noob build, there are options for that too
Regarding soul harvest. You can check wpn dmg in GrimTools with soul harvest: its 18k max, and then you just refund the Soul harvest points and you see its 15.5k. That is 16% increase⦠And most of your damage comes from cadance and the huge %wpn damage it deals so using bone/soul harvest is approximately 13% damage increase compared to not using it.
You can also argue like this, hmm soul harvest is 13 point investment, aether corruption is just a wpn component. How much damage do I get from lowering resistances a bit more? Well that ultimately depends on the initial resistance of the monster so its hard to say.
-8% on something that has 0% resistance after all the other debuffs -> straight 8% dmg increase
-8% bla bla bla 30% bla bla bla -> 11% increase
-8% bla bla bla 50% bla bla bla -> 16% increase
-8% bla bla bla -10% bla bla bla -> 7% increase
-8% bla bla bla -30% bla bla bla -> 6% increase
-8% bla bla bla -50% bla bla bla -> 5% increase
So might not as easy to judge its importance in damage it do free up 13 skill points (get Harbinger of soul to 14/12 dump rest in blindside/fighting spirit, necro WPS or whatever)
Try to find our own balance in terms of performance vs comfort-ability instead of complaining about free information served to you
Could someone please explain me how and were we get the 100% convention to Aether⦠cause i can only count conversion on the 2 Weapons + marks OR weapon + shield and mark⦠and it never add up to 100% conversion Thanks
skill modifier to blitz @ 80%, then the remaining 20% is major phys->aether, some phys->vit. Only blitz. Rest of skills are at 50%phys->aether, 15% phys->vit.
But: Mindwarp proc. = 18% more conversion when active. This proc wonāt stack with itself afaik.
Close to 100% (~94%) with blitz, and 68% aether conversion with cadence +MW proc.
Quick question from a pretty new player aiming for a krieg DK as first character to try endgame content :
I am playing HC (currently lvl 100 farming the set) and I am wondering if the build you are presenting is suited for HC mode.
I get that it is tanky thanks to Adcth, but is it reliable enough in hardcore ? Would you recommend going for the shield version instead ? Are there changes in devotions or certain items you would make to feel safer ?
Thanks a lot for your answers.
Is there a way to make this build viable for shattered realm and also different rings? in my 1200 hours of playing this game i am yet to find a single magelord ring.
I tested this setup in SR. Unfortunately, his limit is 65, maybe 75 with good piloting skills. Aether-resistant enemies steroided by SR do too much damage.
I replaced Magelord rings with these to have overcaps of resistances https://www.grimtools.com/calc/8NKzXqnZ
Yeah doesnt help that im an awful pilot and try to facetank everything. Good idea with the conduit. Just a question: how does soul harvest increase aether damage? i thought that without vitality to aether conversion it would only give us a buff to our vitality damage which is already gimped by missing out on a vitality resist RR?
Not a knowledgeable player here. If I understand %conversion correctly, the dual wield build has 83% physical -> aether conversion and 15% phys -> vit conversion, leaving 2% phys left. What is good about Doom relic and Mythical Reforged Chains of Oleron belt? Their +% physical damage I assume applies only to the small 2% physical damage left, so what makes them better than a relic and belt with +% to aether damage? For exmaple, Uroboruukās Reaping relic or Mystical Soulweave Girdle belt.
They are probably used for both the +flat physical damage, which does get almost fully converted to aether & is usually much more valuable than %damage on melee dual-wield characters ā and for the +to all Soldier skills, which again gives more damage than +to Necromancer (Cadence skill tree is especially important here). Just my guess though, Itās been a while since I last played this build
Ok thank you. What about the runebound topazes in the rings? Runebound gives +160 health +52 Defensive Ability +8% shield block chance. Is that better than Bloodied Crystal, which gives +40 Defensive Ability +75 armor +15% bleeding resistance? Letās assume we donāt need the resists, is +160 health +52 DA better than +40 DA +75 armor?
With optimal rolls this build has 92% (Sword Passives (2 * 18%) + Sword Procs (2 * 18%) + Sword Components (2 * 10%)) Phys to Aether. Harbringer of Souls converts 15% of the Phys damage to Vitality so in pratise with perfect rolls expect to have around 86% Phys to Aether (92+15 = 107, (92/107)*100 = 86). This build simply does not have 100% Phys to Aether
