[1.0.7.1] MEGAKILLER N&O Infiltrator, 5:22 cruci, 0 greens, [g3][c+][vid]

Because it’s no-green. IMO, if to use stoneplates, Thunderstruck of Arcane Winds would be BiS, which would allow to take Barbaros Pants.

I try not to use green items if possible. First of all stun resist.

Yep, one or even two meteors are not dangerous. But meteor+Grava’s/Galakros’/Reaper’s charge are.

I eat meteors for breakfast with my RoH version (12k in crucible with a low health mutator and all those stats way lower) as well as facetank 2 reapers, maiden, Fabius and theodin (all in a vid). Wanna know how? The answer is in the gif file at the top of op.

Seriously, I don’t know how. It shouldn’t be happening.

It’s nice build really. I tried it with Silver Sentinel & Ellena neck since i’m missing Rime head and Mage amulet and the killing speed surprisd me. (not in crucible yet, but second form of Gargabol died in like 5 seconds). Only Question, doens’t Nidalla’s Hand mess with the damage output with the 23% pierce to acid convert?

quote myself from sabo guide:
“Tested Nidalla on a dummy, and didn’t see the difference between 0,5 and 12 points, don’t know why
Theoretically nidalla should improve WPS, so left 1 point there.”

The stun indeed is the true danger.

Anyone can share how heavy is the build impacted in the next patch - hinted nerfs to N&O for non-Sabo builds by Zantai on last stream (as well as Deathmarked - it just came out of the dumpster-set).

People keep knocking this build for only using a few skills in inquisitor. But don’t forget at one point Cadence Witchkiller was one of the top builds in the game and that build uses almost nothing from the occultist.

Sometimes just a few skills is just the right amount of synergy to boost up a build to the top.

Somebody said Zantai said N&O and Deathmarked will be toned down but not hammered to the ground. Pretty sure this will be viable in 1.1. More “adventurous” setups however, that forego even more defense and completely depend on N&O offensive oupiedness to survive, might get a hit.

So how would this be if you were leveling into the campaign with it from scratch? Without the fancy equipment… while hoping to find it.

N&O will be nerfed I think.

But if you are looking for a build with similar play-style, you just equip two melee weapons and go :stuck_out_tongue: Shadow strike is a very good, since you can shop spectral longswords. Or you can play as a caster with Word of Pain and/or Storm Box for a pretty long while.

I leveled up a Saboteur based off this build, using Silver Sentinel and Crescent Moon(s). It got a little rough at the beginning of AoM until I got more cold conversion items.

I almost feel like it would be easier to raise as a straight phys/pierce Nightblade/Infiltrator until you can get the goodie items, then switch over.

  • walk through gladiator crucible (100-150) like butter [check]
  • no more then two buttons to press [check]
  • kill Lokarr [check]

This is an incredible build! If you play it you have the feeling “that is what I expect of a real powerful melee character”. Thanks for sharing!

Why do you pass on Blade Trap? A point or 2 can net you -20% DA which seems quite strong.

Because it don’t work on trap immune enemies. Literally never work.

Hi

Sorry didn’t use the search function

Will spellbreaker / saboteur perform in a similar waywith this build / gear?

If you look at “threads started” by the build creator you will find his Sabouter build with similiar gear. Both Sabouter and Spellbreaker will perform much worse than Infiltrator unfortunately.

Okay. That’s sad … Don’t wanna use Inquisitor again:D:D:D
Worse in an acceptable way?

Hmm sorry. Read the first post again and didn’t find saboteur / spellbreaker
Took as well a look in the Russian compendium

If you don’t want to use Inquisitor I recommend playing Trickster. It’s definitely glassier than Infiltrator or Blademaster, but still can do all of game’s content if geared right. It has insane damage, just a bit less than Infiltrator and it’s fun to play.

With Sabouter all you are going to get right now is frustration. It’s gonna be even glassier than Trickster, much less damage, awkard to play, just not a fun melee build at all in my opinion. This might change in Forgotten Gods - if Crate buffs melee Fire Strike and Demolitionist mastery (as well as adds some support for melee Sabouter’s besides Nex and Ortus and two rings).

Small questions about gearing. What are the reasons for the boots and pants? I guess boots for the proc and stun reduction and pants for slow resistance and proc, too?

How important is the 3 items set bonus of the rimetongue set because the shoulder piece for itself isn’t that good right?

Thanks for the great guide, it’s a pleasure playing =)
