[1.1.5.2] From Memes to Magnificence - Cold AAR Mage Hunter - 5:00 Crucible [c+][vid]

Yes, but I’m taking it even further.

I have no idea if eternal haunt is better than 2x anubar though.

It’s up to tests but with your degree of glassification Haunt might scale better due to OA scaling poorly at this point.

Credit me if this devo setup works out! ))

It’s doing little but not jack shit. Consistent AoE ticks are always good. But it’s mostly the da shred and the proccing power. I used cold Box on Morgo and it was contributing some.

I’m not 100% sure but from my experience with all manners of vindicators (Reaver/LD and Allagast mostly) I surmise Tether is only worth it on Allagast where you can have many Boxes, and you pay special care to that hit-the-mole playstyle. On AAR, where you debuff-debuff-beam-beam-beam-beam-beam, you hardly ever have more than one Box active.

Has anyone thought about such freaks: https://www.grimtools.com/calc/eZP59gBN or https://www.grimtools.com/calc/YZe6GwEN?

Anunbar is absolutely op with 100% conversion. Saw that on Morgo. Better than any combination of any rings

I’d say very little. I bet that without it damage would be the same due less disrupts.

That’s very brave! Especially Druid ))

Oh, I didn’t even look at the devos lol. I’ll try it out.

Spellbreaker looks decent with spirits as a passive proccer.

Yeah, I wasn’t too impressed with eternal haunt my first few tries. I’ll probably stick with 2x anubar.

Edit: @mad_lee extra blue isn’t necessary without DG, can still go full amatok with yugol. https://www.grimtools.com/calc/D2pbAxeZ Forgot to move blue crossroads back to yugol.

Lol, I brain farted there, you are right!

but you actually forgot to soft cap Fabric of Reality! I think you can take points from Overload overcap, Deadly Aim overcap and Steel Resolve overcap!

Good point. Also vestment of mourning might be better with this much OA. It makes the elemental resist with chains of anguish a bit shaky but I can use a couple of augments for that.

74 Spirit, holy shit, why didn’t you use them in the first place!

When I was first making the build I needed the elemental resist but with all the changes now the spirit is definitely way better.

I think you are ready to set that record now!

I’m still trying to figure out the detailed effects of skills. So, this could be a noob question, sorry for that.

Wouldn’t it be supportive for this build if you give 1 point to each Olexa’s Fresh Freeze and Absolute Zero to slow down the enemies (to have more crowd control)? Those 2 points can be taken from Mental Alacrity.

Why on earth do you need more CC for mobs when mobs die before they can reach you? Bosses can reach, but then OFF did nothing to them

Ok, don’t be angry. I’m still a learning noob.

I have a level 100 Warlock atm. The biggest problem I have with it is to maintain my health. That’s why, I’m too much focused on defense for any arcanist builds. I actually don’t know how much this Mage Hunter build is effective (defense-basis). As I said, I’m trying to figure out.

Sorry again for noob question.

Damn, dude! That damage! Great stuff. Creative use of Hungering Void, too. I love it!

Crowd control really doesn’t matter when trash dies instantly. OFF does nothing against bosses without mageslayer set which is where you’d actually want the freeze. As for maintaining health, it’s all done by the leech on the off-hand.

Well, just about every dps build uses Hungering Void…

I was thinking, with the cast speed capping problems, one Haunt might actually be better despite everything…

Oh. Is it possible to be top end DPS without it? Or does is the +30% crit damage really necessary to compete with top end DPS builds?

It’s nothing that drastic, it’s just that a lot of devotion paths naturally head in that direction and it has very powerful nodes even without being vitality or chaos.
