Yeah when I did my “welcome thread” someone did say that if I use green items in my build ppl here will cast me out. But since I have been here, I have not seen anything of that (except that build with YT build LOL) I guess it is a relic of the past because now green items are actually reasonable to farm. And also, at least the little I know, the green haters leader was madlee, and he is not around anymore so.
I would not call it “best” affixes, some have best suffix for sure (of the wild) to cap briar. I guess if you only make your builds in GD stash and never have actually farmed you have no idea how easy/hard these items are to get. The book for instance, I have +10 double of it with rare pet affixes. Same with the primal spirit off-hand, and the Hellhound book - you can vendor shop farm abuse Hyram for 
I am happy with just have made a pet build that could do stuff at all, despite the “ded build” tags and nerfs 
Those affixes are actually much better than the credit you give them.
Easy way to see is to check the difference with affixes and completely affixless or with random non pet ones.
Also, greens make many wondrous things possible.
They might not get farmed in an instant or last a lifetime, but they can resurrect the dead and bring tears to your eyes.
I have tons of those items, which was one of the reasons why I did this build in the first place The only item I really did farm for this build in mind was one more bloodsworn ring, took me about 20 resets of Bastion of Chaos vendor.
Green items are part of the game, not using them is like playing a mod where they do not exists.
BTW I think this was what the devs had in mind, ppl should start using these items.
No Greens, are we still in 2018?
I issue a formal challenge to you then. Do the following:
- Affixless greens and Cally
- Purple only and Cally
If you succeed, will reward you with… um… Birb pics.
Build however you like. If you like Green’s then show the haters the door and tell them to submit their own damned builds.
I’ll never get this crap from people always trying to tell people how they can or cannot make their builds.

I’m a total noob when it comes to pet builds but seeing Light of Empyrion 1 point short makes me a bit sad. Would it be worth it to give up Sailor’s Guide and Jackal in favor of Viper + finish bear to get that proc? Something like this.
Or does the build not need the damage reduction at all?
you don’t even need to grab viper, you can just swap compas for doggo (moar pet health too)

Why? I think physical pet builds with self found items for someone who does not even like pet builds was enough of challenge You are the pet nerd here, I think you should do the challenge yourself. Perhaps also try to farm these greens, like what can you get in 5h?
As @powbam said, I play the way I want and post whatever I want. These are items that I have gotten during my countless hours of playing other builds and the only item that I really only farmed for was another “of the wild” blood-sworn ring in bastion of chaos. As I read in another thread where ppl were crying about their pet builds getting killed, it took them years to get even the beastcaller set 
So heck, even posting build with full purple gear might be hard for some ppl to acquire.
Are we really having a green item discussion in 2021? I mean if several items are obviously GD-stashed like in AlkamosH’s retal build, sure - one can ask what the performance would be with reasonably items. But green MI with one rare and one magic tier affix, no big deal these days.
No you don’t need it. Plus hellhound has DR. LoE is kinda scuffed for pet build, it does not work as you want it to here. If it could be bound to a pet the it would be more worth.
Already have around +250% pet hp.

Oh you’re right I was overthinking it lol. Still, is it worth it? I don’t even know if Light of Empyrion can proc on top of pets.

If you bind it to an aura it can’t proc on the pet? That’s disappointing 
That is the thing, it procs around you… and pets are in 95% of the times far from you

like ulvar said it’s iffy, all “when hit” devo procs are, because they require you(player) being hit, not pet, which means either they aren’t active a lot (kinda wasting investment) or you are taking too much dmg and “near dying”, where you then want a better proc/skill
yeye, was just in terms of “if all you wanted was LoE” doggo swap would suffice
