[1.1.9.8] THIS WARLORD IS BANANAS! 4:20 Crucible Gladiator 150-170, Celestials, SR 90 easy one button endgame destroyer Physical gunner Warlord

Legendary items on average have the most stats compared to most MIs and typically have unique abilities attached to them that are crucial to a builds performance. Some MIsm, on the other hand, have item skill modifiers that are only found on that item (ex. cool down to blitz on an amulet is unique to bloodbriar’s thorn). Its really up to the builder to decide what item goes where bc GD is balanced in such a way that there is no definitive/correct way to gear your character.

I would say that most of the endgame builds I post here are realistic in terms of affixes and gear flexibility. But because they are actual endgame crushers they will require some amount of hours to get all the gear together.

Game version matters a lot, some builds don’t change much thru the game versions but most of them do. I would look for builds that are at least 1.2.x.x

Confidently incorrect

Yes, same @RSnoomak that found some of my endgame builds so affordable he decided to make whole beginner/levelling guides off them

It really depends on what is meant here by beginners friendly.

Most of @mad_lee 's builds are made with reasonable assumption as to what can be acquired without prior end game characters to farm said gear.
Single rare MI, legendary items, etc… Very rarely do we see builds relying on a key double-rare MI or a drop from a celestial boss… On that front, I think his builds are very approachable, and will actually ease you into having a dedicated farmer so you can experiment with all the meme builds you want afterwards.

On the flip side, the SKILL level required to pilote those builds varies quite a bit. Some of his builds are basically 1-button tanks requiring only a mouse and a finger… Others are more on the piano side, with lots of cycling of cooldown skills, and others yet require a firm grasp of the game’s mechanics and good reflexes.
Personally, I think that says more about the playstyle diversity that GD offers than anything about Mad-Lee specifically though.

As a counterexamples, if you look at the very few builds I’ve posted… They all tend to be very easy to play (because that’s what I personally enjoy) But some of them require very specific things to work…

Still, Mad-Lee’s portfolio contains more easy-to-play builds… than the total number of builds I’ve ever posted… So you be the judge what it means.

So it really depends on what you see as the real hurdle for a beginner.

All in all, I don’t think it’s a fair assessment to say his builds are not beginner friendly as a whole. I say look at how defensively oriented the build is, and how many buttons need to be pressed, and you’ll have an answer.

One consistent thing though that I can say, is that if Mad-Lee bothered to post it, it will work as advertised if played correctly.
