They could improve mining, farming, windmills, etc etc.
Automated trading of materials. (Tier 5 )
Very late in the game, I need the same materials every year, and have lots of gold but I don’t want to manually get it from traders. Can we automate e.g. Every year I want
200 Stone
200 coal
100 Iron
500 food
200 wood
50 spices
Multi city settlement would be awesome. (DLC)
Build 8 or 9 smaller towns, and then build a massive city in the middle. Each settlement can trade with others.
Build a settlement in mountains that has lots of Iron, but needs to trade for food. etc etc etc
Automated trading is a good idea and has been mentioned. What I would like is to be able to specify a minimum for each resource, and when the trader arrives the trading post will auto buy enough to bring you back to that minimum and transfer it to town storage.
Seems simple enough in concept but there are some issues to consider:
There’s currently no control over what the trader brings, so a “shopping list” of items may not get what you want. So to help that, is an automated trade the same as a special request for the resource? If so, will the things cost a lot more? Why should they? If it’s not like a special request but simply to encourage the trader to bring that stuff, then you could list anything and get it at a regular price. Meaning the entire “special request” feature as it currently exists would cease to have any purpose.
You will have a lot less control of your finances, and ingots could be drained at the worst time. So in addition to the above, it needs a place to specify the amount of ingots to reserve. It will only spend down to that amount.
Given choices of multiple resources and not enough ingots to buy them all, how does it decide which ones to buy? Not a difficult problem but still needs to be worked out.
There may be others but those are what I thought of.
