A higher perspective is required

The current viewing angle is low in height, making it impossible to observe the whole village
As you explore more land, it takes longer to drag the map

Game needs at least a high level map/minimap for sure. My village is quite sprawling and just dragging from one corner to the other takes too long.

Yes, it would be most helpful. :slightly_smiling_face:

Personally, I like the way Frostpunk handled the high altitude switch.

With one more scroll of the wheel you were sort of “bounced up” (hard to describe the feeling, if you have played it you know what I mean) to the overview.

Agreed. :+1:

There are many ways of achieving a good perspective over a bigger colony and i agree some “higher perspective” or minimap/full map view is needed for full game.

This. My first playthrough was on an Arid Highlands map that had nothing but coal and gold spots so I had to explore a very large area in order to try to find some clay and I eventually just gave up because of how cumbersome it is to navigate a large map (and because Arid Highlands was just too hard for a first playthrough :stuck_out_tongue: ).

I completely agree! The furthest zoom out just isn’t far enough. I want to be able to get a better look at my village.

I definitely agree

Absolutely second this !

+1, a map screen would be incredible and super helpful. I find that I keep wishing there was one.

Yes to this!!

Absolutely, we need a higher perspective and a minimap.
