Ability to set production limits to all items

There are some items that currently we are unable to set a production/collection limit in the Settlement Items window.

While it does make sense how it currently works because these items are not manufactured manually (they are collected from the wilderness we could say), others keep accumulating and filling up space in our stores since we have no control over the increasing numbers.

The first example is the Apiary, which produces Honey and Wax. Now I am not sure if both items are produced at the same rate but once you have the production chains set it does not matter. Honey it’s used for crafting Beer and Medicine, while Wax it’s only used for Candles. Honey being consumed at a faster rate than Wax. Eventually, even if the production rates for both Honey and Wax are the same, we are using more Honey than Wax and since we can’t limit Wax collection rates nor it can be sold (as far as I’ve seen) eventually the stock keeps piling up and filling up our storage. If we were to let the game run long enough we would end up having to keep building extra space just to store Wax forever.

I know that the production and consumption rates are totally dependant on having the best optimised setup to obtain the highest amount of a Working percentage rate, and since my setup is not nearly perfect my findings might be based on inaccurate data rendering this post completely useless, but just in case I would like to throw it out there just the same is case anyone noticed it as well.

So it would be great to be able to cap Wax with a maximum quota to avoid filling space forever.

This could also be useful for items such as Herbs or Willow. When we set up a working area for Foragers, sometimes we can’t avoid certain items from being inside of the working area radius, and consuming less than what is being produced things pile up. Now Herbs you can sell, and Willow you can delete the bushes. But I have experienced the case where Herbs were piling up faster than I could sell or consume, and deleting Willow bushes is something I regret later on when I needed more, so we don’t want to do that.

To wrap it up I’d like to say that I think it could be just a useful feature to have for all items. Having control over all maximum quotas will give us more control over managing our storage.
