Accessibility: Item background

Hi Team,

with 1.3 on the horizon i want to make a personal request because I’m really struggling with this:

I’m colourblind and have a hard time to differentiate between the item rarities (especially rare and magic). By this i mean the item background and not the text-color(for this there are tools like the rainbow-tool). Unfortunately the provided colourblind modes also don’t work for me.

I know that a change of these background colours is possible via modding internal entries but that would result in well a custom game which i would avoid if possible (issues with new installations, transferring progress…).

My request would be to change this behaviour(internal database change) so the item background colours are also changeable via the override folder, or even within the game options (dead cells has a very good solution as an example)

Not sure if i am alone here but that would help me and maybe others too big time

just FYI there’s an easy way / trick to make your mod be applied to Main Campaign / Normal game Is there a way to play main game (NOT custom game) with tiny mod? - #2 by tqFan

I have problems as well. The blue letter on black background is a perfect example. Reading them I turn up the brightness on my desktop to full just to read. I also have a real hard time seeing those items laying around on the ground as well. (I wish there was an autopick up for blue items.)

Thx a lot @tqFan for the troubleshooting(happened via DMs). I tried this approach but the only mod that exists atm is outdated and not usable as a basemod.
Either i would have to create my own mod or (preferably) the devs could do something about it!?
