Add explanatory notes to the materials

I have been playing for 500 hours now, but I still don’t know what medicinal roots and beehives are for, and I can’t even distinguish the difference in data between Plate Armor and Heavy Armor, and how big the difference is

If you hover the cursor over a buildings button in the Building menu it will bring up an info box about that building and what it does; If you click on an item in the Settlement Items window you will similarly get an info box about that item.

Bee hives make honey and wax. Honey is for beer and pastries, wax is for candles and barrels. Medicinal roots are for making medicine (late game tech / building / item) which presumably helps with diseases but, IMO, are entirely unnecessary. Plate Armour is the heavy armour. Hauberk is the medium option. It provides 6 armour more than a hide coat, and plate armour 2 more again.

Could the game explain these things better? Absolutely. A lot of the numbers are hidden, presumably to encourage playing things by vibes rather than calculated optimisation. The wiki is slowing filling up with all these numbers though, if you want to really dig deep.

If you go to the resources window and click any resource, You will see what it is an ingredient for, what building produces it, and what buildings use it.

In the build menu, the Apiary displays what it produces:

Just to add, if you keep storing Medicinal Roots that aren’t getting used (at least until you build an Apothecary), store them in the Trader (no spoilage), and every now and again you can make a lot of gold selling them.

:grinning:I see ,ok ok , in fact . i find it only once, then i forget in where . because in most games , this info shouble be on materials mouse hover notes window not in details . so I find explanatory notes on mouse hover window retry onces and onces . if possible , I hope add some info or note on mouse hover windows.
