What is going on with Aegis? When I stand in various spots and press a key to throw the shield, it doesn’t fly nor enter cooldown. Button on skill bar appears pressed for a moment, then returns to normal state. Skill is unusable until I move from these cursed places. I don’t remember it ever happening before 1.2, but now it occurred in about 10 spots in act 1 alone.
Screenshot shows one such place in which Aegis does not work, on the way to “Shanks”. It’s easy to reproduce the bug there. I can use other skills just fine, but shield will not fly at any of the targets until I move. Button on skill bar looks pressed and that’s it.
probably same issue that’s been posted with CoF and word of pain, drain essence etc
my speculation is it’s a “LOS” issue/terrain invisibly blocking the direct line to target
i think it’s related to the texture change we got, since it always seems to happen in close proximity to “objects” like rocks etc
dunno about rocks and stuff but it being related to the texture update seems plausible. this is another area in devils aquifer just before viloth that has that or a similar issue, mostly noticed projectiles being blocked here (positioned the char so the terrain clipping can be seen):

and it’s highly noticeable when it’s with direct target skills
yday i was playing a gunner, and unsure if it’s mandela or "bug report recency bias, but i legit felt like my bullets got “eaten” a lot more places than they used to, and then in similar spots to where i recalled casts having issues
*caveat ofc being that it can just be regular projectile finicky’ness if you’re standing at bad angles shooting in to doorposts etc
staunton mine is another offender, several spots where i cast word of pain from a bridge to no effect - had plenty problems on a word of pain build & a devouring swarm build. tempted to use the map editor for the first time to check so maybe we can create a more comprehensive report - if i can get my lazy ass to do something comprehensively…
hitting the aether crystal from several spots to the south is impossible, whether or not it’s because of actual terrain slope or similar rock/"potential texture"issue blocking los i don’t know
but sometimes stuff is also just a bit more randomly rough to pinpoint locations
Does this also fail on all the same environments as Forcewave and similar now, or just certain environment textures influencing LoS?
There are also certain steps FW and similar fail on.
I guess the easiest step environment to test on is the small SR arena with the center similar to the 2 sphynx in Conclave of the Three.
There were also certain steps in Cairan Docks that also stop the FW type of effects.
I appreciate the OP is most likely describing a very different behaviour (LoS pebbles/etc) but worth removing other factors.
Beyond this I notice FW seems to clip on the environment a lot more, but that is rather anecdotal and maybe memory playing tricks.

i’ve noticed similar with inquis seal, or rather feel like i noticed it more/had more frequent "stand out"moments where half the seal is underground or such
