Alpha - How many greens and blues are you averaging?

Steam says I have 86+ hours, about 30 with one character on HC. All my things I wear are blue (except one ring and gun) + so beautiful pieces like Badge of Tenacity improved with Attuned Lodestone, Warmaster’s Pride or Guardsman’s Spaulders, which grants me (except partial set bonus next to Defender shield) Menhir’s Will (doubled by skill). I have so many blue’s I have to sell them (keeping the best of them if they are multiplied). Looking for whole set though. Warden is weak, Cult rocks!!

Do you get blue items from the Cult? because if fight them a lot but i don’t get any of them… Only good thing is that i sometimes get 2 blue items from the Warden.

are you meaning cultist dungeon? I got 2 blue items from 2 simple cultist in the same run, only on time, then no blue items at all. Not from salazar, not from chests.

Don’t know my total playing time, and for me it is not important; I killed about 80k mobs and found many blue, but always of the same type. I found 6-7 times the ornate chesguard, more than 10 times guardsman shoulder, and for exambple, never found guardmans shield.

haha, you saw what i found with my run, have killed now over 130k mobs (140-150 hours of playing)… kinda lifeless :confused: but yea, never had any blue from the cultist dungeon… :frowning:

Edit: just a question: what is the highest component level you can find now?..

lvl 20 for me but i know that some others have reported lvl 24 components (Mark of Illusions, Severed Claw…). i think lvl 27 are out of range for now, even if there’s lvl 27+ enemies.

Well, I had one LAB run with 4 blues (crazy). Cult is much higher level (i mean usual monsters), but drop is significantly lower than The Warden’s. Still, love the cult, there is more fights, its darker and I feel satisfied when I get something really good. Last time I found 1x Soul Shard and Swampdweler’s Trausers with +60% poison & Acid resistances.

Just played through the game (Build 16) and the drop rates I’ve encountered are good.

Played 4:12 hours and killed 3096 monsters. Explored a bit but stopped at level 17 after beating the Warden. Found 6 blue items (Warden was shy about giving me more then one blue :frowning: ) and 6 green items excluding quest rewards.

I’ve been playing this game for about 6 months now and I’d have to say that the “current” drop rate is about as perfect as a game can get… There are great places to do runs “cave by the water front”…“Ominous Lair” that you can count on and some places that are always good and sometimes great!!..

I’ve done at least 50 runs per charter in Depraved Sanctuary and however you guys changed the drops in this current build was fantastic… keep it!!

Last night I acquired 10 blue items through different runs…and 4 blues in one run in DS! Now… it’s not all the time and some times its just one blue or no blue but 3 green…and some runs its 1 green 1 blue…but the point is that there is a pay off of loot and lets face it… Bare min 25% of any RPG/ARPG is the quest for loot…

On a side note…The skill system in this game is GREAT, the feel is GREAT, the NPC trading is GREAT, Environment is GREAT… The component spell grant and add on FUN FUN FUN…!
I’d like to see some voice acting with the NPC’s to give the game some more depth and some real empathy into the world… Keep up the great work!!!

Is it possible maybe to get a tool for this?
A tool that records the drop rate of yellow/blue/green items, its type, and also record the monster type it dropped from.

This way you guys should be able to get the data from us and put together some statistics.

Just finished my first playthrough, ended up being 5 hours and 10 minutes, and level 17 Soldier at the end of Warden.

Got 8 greens in total (1 from Warden and 1 from Warden’s chest), rest were from normal mobs (none from the globes champions drop).

Got 3 blues in total (1 from Warden and 1 from Warden’s chest again), the third was from a normal mob around level 8.

Also worth noting that I saw an obvious increase in Yellow drop numbers after getting in the Lab at the end too, up until that point I was still using whites in a couple of slots as nothing decent had dropped.

Overall I’d say that I found the drop rates a little low for my first playthrough, but I will give it a go with other classes and see how that works out.

I just played through for the first time as a pure soldier, 11 hours according to steam. Finished level 18. Had three blues but only four greens in that time. Looking at other people’s numbers, that green number seems a bit low. I’m going to play through again with a different character and see how it turns out.

Green and Blue items are pretty much equal when it comes to the item’s usefulness and drop rate imo.

Blue items are nice because their affixes are already set and it’s only the rolls that you need to worry about.

Green items are all RNG but have the potential to be extremely powerful.

Yellow items drop far more often but can also be powerful since their rolls can be really high.

found between 35 to 40 blues maybe more
but I was farming a lot the cultists dungeon because of the treasure room.
I like the drop rate but I think the bosses should drop minimum one green each and final bosses like the zalanar w/e his name is , the beast boss level 28 in a hidden cave and the warden should at least drop one blue each time because soon or later the game will contain so many types of items that even if you get each time a blue item, it might not be good use for yourself so you either sell it or save it for a different character.

Not too many. Farmed the Warden a ton and might get 1 green every 5 times, but usually not. sometimes 1 blue each 1-3 runs.

My Loots of much blue and green items, also runes here in the attachment.
I only need helm and hammer of the guardsman set.
Several times killed all bosses, but no one drops it. :undecided:

For me, the drop rate has been skewed HEAVILY in favor of Blue items. In my most recent runthrough, up to the Warden, I received 8 blue items and ONE green item, and the single green item I found was outclassed by any of my blue items. Normally something like this would be exciting, but I was actually pretty disappointed.

EDIT: To quote a more well thought out post by me in a different thread:

"IMO, there shouldn’t be any source of guaranteed blue or green or rare or powerful item drops. I prefer there to always be a chance that you don’t get a good item drop; for me, it makes those epic and rare drops… well, epic!

However, lately when I’ve been playing, by the end of the first act I’ve been pulling WAY more Blue items than Green items due to the change to 1 shot chests. Like, 8-10 times more blue items than green items. I think this is REALLY boring. Something needs to be changed with the current drop system, that’s for sure. "

The reason for this is, as you also noted the one-shot chests. There will be fewer in the future, so that is addressed to a degree.

You can also get greens from the vendor, so that is another way to get them (sell the unwanted blues to get wanted greens).

Other than that, I like the fact that there are a few guaranteed blue drops.

I have just hit Lvl 25 for the first time (played up to around 20 twice before then lost my chars) - I also have 2 more lvl 6 toons and a lvl 14:

I have opened 2 of the one-shot chests (warden and Hallowed Hill)
Counting those 2 Blues, across all toons I have found:
9 Blues (3 were not worth using and 2 were Lvl 26/27 required)
14 Greens

I haven’t done much farming yet but it felt just about right to me, enough that I didn’t go Toooooo long without finding anything but not so many it felt trivial.

I got 24H played according to steam:

I got 10 epic softcore 1 hardcore
i have a lvl 19-17 and 15
didn’t count the green item i would say about the same but only few are good anough to keep.

I think the drop rate is good and normal.

But still i would like to put some mf gear when i do my warden run…

Will they ever be any mf gear?

No, there won’t be any MF, and I for one like that fact.
