I have found 6 legendaries since getting to level 60. One of them is amazing for my char and another is ok-ish for another one of ym chars but the rest aren’t anything I would use. I guess getting ones you want is where the rarity matters
and here I’ am thinking about the last post I read saying something about the longevity of the game since legendary drop rates were almost non-existent for him/her.
Oh well. Death and taxes.
Im a level 80 Blademaster Sword and board tank and I am only wearing one legendary. I have found less than 10 since level 50, none really for me. The one I am wearing is a crafted belt I made. So no, legendary drops are not to high. Maybe you are lucky, but for a self found player I believe drops are in line with where they need to be.
after dropchance buff i’m farming ultimate on daily basis in boc, sot and with some farming routes.
I can say i wouldn’t nerf dropchance it is in a good balanced position, consider that there are some “common” and some “rare” legendaries in this game, to drop one of the second cathegory is very hard : after 400 + hours of gameplay i still have to complete my legendary set (wildblood) which is a 3 set pieces. So yeah it still fairly hard to drop good stuff.
Why does it matter how many Legendary you get when double greens are best stuff.
Or did last few builds change it so double green are no longer best items?
Well please let me know what I’m doing wrong then because I find one maybe every couple of hours or so (lvl 79 in Ultimate). I’m actually stuck in Act 3 right now grinding since I need a bit more DPS and have crap aether resist.
Just wait untill you need those last 2-3 items and you have been farming for months.
Or when you have every boss and nemesis on farm on ultimate for weeks and you never see the shard of beronath blueprint.
Dropsrates are fine imo. I have fun farming legendaries with my brothers. We get like 1-2 upgrades in a week, then we adjust our build again, try to keep improving.
Nah I think its just fine to be honest.
Since my last post in this thread I have invested at least 8 hours of play time, maybe closer to 12-15 hours without a single legendary drop. I am now farming Ultimate ( albeit slowly) on a fully blue itemed 85 soldier tank. I just stepped foot into homestead so half way thru ultimate give or take and not 1 legendary drop since I have started Ultimate. Drop rate is fine if not to low.
Shhh, no no no. All is well.
All right, all right :D! Every single post in this three pages disagrees with me, and either says it’s fine or it’s too low. So i guess, i got the answer to my initial question: Yes i am the only one.
It’s a bit sad not to find a single familiar soul , but otherwise it’s good that the opinion of the playerbase on the current droprates is that clear :). I’m not egomaniacal enough to think that my personal taste should be the norm :D.
I think OP is just lucky with RNG. Most people farming nemesis said that they only yield less than 2 legendary per hour.
I don’t think i’m that lucky, i think its a matter of perception. I come from a PoE background so not to find a single upgrade in 100h of playtime is perfectly normal for me. “Less than two legs per hour” means 1-2 legs per hour - that sounds like a unbelievably super-duper ridiculously high number to me. 1 leg/ 10 hours still sounds high to me. I’d be happy with one every 30-50h of gameplay. But as i said, everybody here disagrees with me, and i’m not on a crusade or anything. No need to argue.
Note that PoE is balanced around trading.
I know, and i hate that poe is balanced around trading. I enjoy to find stuff, don’t get me wrong. But there must be a middleground between “one usable item every 100 h of gameplay” (PoE) and “One endgame legendary every 2h” (GD).
But, as i say for the third time now, every single post here disagrees with me. I can read, and i accept that i am alone. That’s fine. I’m not trying to convince anybody. For me, personally, i am just talking about me, myself, only me, a littlebit less would be more fun. Just accept that statement. Plz.
I am playing an lvl 83 druid and I only encountered like 6 legendaries from elite to ultimate (excluding the reward from final boss) maybe too unlucky for me -_-
I just got my first legendary, so I don’t know how the actual rate is.If they drop each 10 min like you say, that seems really too much. But I’m pretty confident that you exagerated and it’s more like each 1-2 hours.
About requiring 20 hours of farming for getting 1? No way.
I want your RNG
/thread
RNG,RNG,RNG … jeez…is it so hard to understand, that not my RNG differs, but my perception?
If someone told you he got a million dollars, would you think he’s rich? wealthy? poor? I guess the answer depends a lot on your own income and your social background.
When i write “it feels like” , it should be clear enough that i’m talking about my perception. I got almost 1k hours of playtime in this game and took at least one char to maxlevel on every build since b26 - i guess RNG evens out over that period of time.
On a funny sidenote: I had exactly the same conversation multiple times in PoE forums with colours reversed.
When i said: “droprates in PoE are really poor”, the answer usually was: “you just have bad RNG”. And “This is a game about grinding, don’t expect to get everything for free.”
So please, stop this “you just have good RNG” thing. It’s really annoying as hell. Consider the possibility that somebody simply has a different opinion.
Ok, from now on, I’m no longer speaking the truth anymore on this thread.
The drop rate is high because of the power of the 3 witch gods.
