Any ETA on patch/hotfix- these MI rolls are absolutely killing the fun

udgden dagger rolls are so depressing

most builds have MIs are BiS now, very hard to play with the bugged rolls :frowning:

when can we start farming again?

Why, you don’t want another Arcanist’s … of Spellweaving?

Same here, the cold version is the best weapon for my build even without a good roll since their base stats are already incredibly good.
I do need some attack speed on them but apparently the yellow affix Alacrity doesn’t spawn on daggers since it’s a caster weapon, you need to get AS from one of the many green affixes that virtually never spawn.

they took their time in the past with the patches. but now with alot of new players coming in they rly need to be faster with the updates

is the post xp launch party over? >p

i wish there will be another patch before the big one with the dungeon in it

I think the patch will be huge  It will be called 1.0.3.0, not 1.0.2.2. Usually, the change of numbers closer to first one, means bigger changes/improvements

I’m looking forward to the next patch. There are many fixes and tweaks they have to implement to the expansion.
Enemies, skills ,etc. Hope they can patch things up soon.

I would prefer a small patch/hotfix first that fixes some of the bigger problems, big content updates can wait.

Well, I would prefer all at once. Different problems can intersect with each other

Caster weapons are BiS on lots of melee builds, so I hope they change their stance on affixes. Caster weapons should only be disallowed from rolling physical and pierce affixes since their damage is entirely magical, but all other affixes should be fair game.

they really just need to fix this, they cannot possibly be waiting for the next content patch to do so.

this is blatant game breaking bug, that crate is already aware of and yet refuse to release a hotfix.

they decided to make multiple MI’s BIS in almost every build but make them undroppable…

really disappointed with AOM. its reasonable for bugs to exist in a new release, but this lax attitude on addressing gaming breaking bugs is really aggravating, i feel like they’ve just taken our money and went on vacation for 2 month or something

Do remember that they are a tiny team, have almost always released more content than they originally promised, and in general have been great at communication throughout the game’s entire development. It’s quite possible that the issue is more difficult to fix than it seems or that it is not a priority because, while frustrating, does not necessarily ā€œbreak the gameā€ in the same way as a quest bug that prevents someone from progressing does.

To be game breaking, it would have to be something that makes it impossible to play/progress in quests. Where is this post from Crate where they refuse to release a hotfix. To the best of my knowledge Crate haven’t refused anything…it’s just not out as soon as you want it.

I get that this is frustrating you and you may think it’s game breaking, but there are far more critical things that need to be addressed that we are working on that need to make this patch, whether you like that or not.

I’m almost certain you’ve got other characters that don’t rely on a particular MI to be successful. I dare say, you have 0 chars that Need those items to play.

Meanwhile, there are some quests bugging out for some players, illusionist collections getting wiped, crashes with certain items equipped, I could go on. But yeah, not being able to farm non-unique caster items is Top priority.

It will be ready when it’s ready, and that’s always as soon as it possibly can be.

This!!! Made my day reading this response.

Love the new area…specialy all there stairs where is sometime hard to manouvre :frowning:

I too am eagerly waiting for these caster MIs to be worth farming. As I’m not a content publisher with steam I’m not fully aware of how patching works behind the scenes, might it involve payments / limits on how frequently updates can be pushed through?

i say different players have different definitions of gamebreaking.

for the more casual player, perhaps not being able to progress on a main quest that prevents progression is gamebreaking. I agree with this.

however, for more dedicated players, its not a big deal for us to simply level another character if the first one is bugged, it would take us say 15 hours max to relevel to 85 or whatever.

On the other hand, wasting days on end farming only to get trash affixs everytime and later realizing that it was bugged all along is much more gamebreaking to people like me than having to relevel a character or recollect an item for the illusionist.

different types of players focuses on different things in the game, as such different issues are gamebreaking for different people.

crucible farmers or simply people who trade have mostly collected their necessary purples and are progressing into end game, and that is, either making new builds, endgame farming, or min/maxing. both of the later are critically affected by bugged MI drops. (while i cannot say with 100% certainty, i do believe that ALL MI drops in A5 are bugged and not just ugdenbog daggers. when 90% of aleksander/kupa pants are rolling tough of thorns/mending, while regular greens roll well all the time. i must believe something is wrong with them too)

i realize my post is quite poignant and may not be received well, but in the very least i wanted bring the issue to light for other players as many don’t even know the existence of such bugs until they’ve waste many, many hours farming without fruition.

Just one noobish question:
What is exactly wrong with the Affixes?

I have to ask because IĀ“m farming mainly the ā€œoldā€ content because finding Kupacabra with 18 (?) spawn locations is too time expensive. And there everything seems fine, only the items without any Affixes are a little bit strange.

There is a bug that causes all caster weapon and off-hand MI to spawn with a severely limited affix pool. To see this very clearly look at the inventory of the rare goods merchant in the steelcap base. He often has 8 or so MI off-hands for sale and nearly all of them spawn with the same affixes.

Some of the new MIs seem to be ā€˜stuck’ on certain prefixes. I guess very limited pool? It really isn’t anything to get worked up over. I’ve gotten these MIs they talk about with 200%+ damage in each hand even without the missing prefixes - still quite good. In fact better than any legendary for my build in the case of the offhand and the main hand comes close to any competition.
