Automatically transfer farmers to other jobs in winter

I have not really paid attention to this issue for a long time. I usually let my farmers rest completely during the 3 winter months (I am sure they are very happy to have such a kind leader)

But recently I watched a video on Youtube and realized that it is possible to increase labor efficiency by converting all farmers to =0 in early October and converting them back at the end of December.

The reason is that I have always thought that the game mechanism is that farmers will do other work in winter instead of sitting around doing nothing.

This surprised me, did the farmers in the Middle Ages also do nothing in winter and just stay at home to enjoy the fruits of their labor after 9 months of hard work? At least they should go to the forest to collect firewood or take the time to repair their houses, right?

My suggestion is:

  • The game should automatically convert workers who are resting during winter into free workers.
  • In case the game developers want to build a good world where workers have time to rest, I would welcome it. However, instead of the current mechanism, why don’t you let the people in FF have time to gather in the pub and chat happily with each other after 9 months of work and will return to work in January without getting drunk? In case the people are not provided with enough alcohol, the happiness level of the people will simply decrease and there is a risk of leaving the settlement?

BTW: Of course, I know that it is possible to use mods to automatically convert people but really it should be a feature of the game.

Add foragers who are not in upgraded huts. Add any villager who is waiting for supplies.
