I’ve found two, one in DS, one in Hallowed Hill. I guess I’ll find the other 3 when I level up a new character.
I figured there would be one in DS… and I found one on Hallowed Hill as well.
The other 2 places I found them are Burritch Estates and the Omnious Lair.

I think there are one or two in Wightmire in the caves. The one for sure would be the mines where you fight the outlaws and can rescue some of the slaves.
Hello to everyone, new to Grim Dawn and to the forum.
I have just purchased if from Steam and after reading this I have few question.
Since the Steam version is a step down when we will get the latest version?
Do you have to buy it from the website or it will be available to be downloaded from Steam?
Also, any other further upgrade (maybe B15 or Act 2 release or whatever) will be available to Steam users or not? Will it be free?

The Steam Early Access version is the same game everybody else is playing now. By “step down” medierra meant that you do not get the alternative DRM-free download, Grim Dawn original music, Swashbuckler’s Coat and Enchanted Burrwitch Brew from the Pioneer edition. Of course you will get all updates until the final release and any patches afterwards, when everybody else gets them through Steam. That’s what you paid for. Keep enjoying 
Interesting…i have been wasting my time…Thought there were 6 chests and re read it again to find there were only 5…Oh my eyes, why must you deceive me. Anyway the 5 chests are in:
1.Depraved Sanctuary
2.Hallowed Hill
3.Burrwitch Estates
4.Ominous Lair
5.The Slavers Den? in the wightmire (The mine with the captive workers) Not sure of the exact name but its in there.
6. Killing the warden gives one as well i suppose
started a new char yesterday, went into that cave. There was a heroic chest, but no exalted one.
I went into that cave with the people you rescue… I found a chest called glorious chest. But was this really a 1 time chest? I got literally 2 yellows and 3 whites from it… not a very good chest lol
Yeah, same happened to me and it is purely becuase we opened it at low level 
we did our selves out of a blue item matey T_T
We are moving that chest to avoid this experience. Sorry to anyone that’s opened it already.:eek:
Played through the content with a new character after the most recent minor update. I found all 5(6 including the warden’s) between levels 15-18. Results: 1 blue(from Hallowed Hill), ZERO greens, a bunch of crappy yellows. Thoroughly unimpressed by these new chests.
on level 16 or so, the chest in the house in burrwitch estates gave a blue ring (fire resist mostly) and a green pistol.
So from what I understand I should wait untill I get like lvl 20/25 before opening those chest to get better loot?
Are exalted chests the big goldie/yellow ones?. I cant remembered whether the ones ive found in a game were actually exalted ones…
I get a blue from that chest everytime I open it. To me, it seems like it has a higher percentage to drop blue than other chests of the same kind, however I’m sure it’s just a coincidence (right?). 
lol its okay. Honestly I just spam grand chests which imo give me the most blues / greens when I farm. These 1 time chests don’t bother me any if nothing good comes out. However I assume say by 2nd or 3rd difficulty these will be highly prized chests to find
Is there evidence to support that a certain chest or chests in general drop the best loot? I havent been farming with that assumption but it would be awesome to know.
Nope! As long as the chest quality is the same, everything else is random I think.
There are 5 one-shot chests currently in alpha, which have very high chance to drop a blue (unique) item, but are only there one time until you open them (they aren’t there for farming). So yes, some chests in general do drop the best loot.
