Ba'al of Shit V1.33 - The Shitlord - SR30-31/34-35+ 7/7 Celestials - Meme Sentinel Pooped Out For the Armorum Excrementis Set

Someone had to do it with the full set :stuck_out_tongue:

The shit returns! Version 1.33 go:

  • fixed bleed overcap, now it has slightly more health and some more DA :upside_down_face: Such are the perils of testing out new devotions and forgetting to check things afterwards.
  • Edit - whoops, an aura at Vanguard of the Three screwed this up, so just fixed it. Use resist pot if you need more bleed resist to get it above 12% overcap.

Super Boss Safer Version, now 1.33 compliant:

Takes points from other skills and puts them in the Occultist mastery to get Possession softcapped, which while it means less poop flung, does make this a lot more tanky.

Also best option for SR34-35, because those levels need a bit of tuning due Shattered Outcast and horrible spike damage, but it’s doable in a fair time:

Now do you need to respec points? For superbosses, sort of, if you want to make it a lot less stressful, unless you think all souls-likes are easy and you have the reflexes of a ferret on illegal stimulants mostly functional mess. And you don’t mind dying a lot or spending most of your time running around. Give how inexpensive skill point respecs are it makes adjusting this a lot easier, though given more effective Path of the Three makes you shit I don’t see a need to stick with 1 only.

Although ultimately it’s going to come down to how happy you are with kitting :stuck_out_tongue: And playing a p

1.2 Version

Version 1.2:
Sentinel, Level 100 (GD 1.3.0.8) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator
Adds in Chariot and Targo the Builder for better tankiness and it’s does help when fighting Ravager. Just not as much as Possession’s absorb does.

Edit - Right, this works better, in theory. Mainly because Affliction’s Proc is doing a lot of heavy lifting it seems o_O

Version 1.1

Sentinel, Level 100 (GD 1.3.0.7) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator

Version 1

Sentinel, Level 100 (GD 1.3.0.5) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator

Fighting The Dread:

In 1 minute lawl :3 - need to retest, should be similar.

Clones of Bourbon - Shut up with Shit - 1:24 cakewalk

https://youtu.be/7n--wtPlHws
Silenced with ease, biggest calkwalk of the lot weirdly.

.

Lokarr - GD's biggest shit-talker is shit-talked to death, 16 seconds

https://youtu.be/dCyW8ZgUDHE
Only needs fire resist, can probably be facetanked too, but I’m lazy :stuck_out_tongue:

.

Crate of Entertainment - Death by Diarrhea - 35sec

https://youtu.be/Ijn1ksviu1o
Drop you load, run away, repeat, one dead CoE will result.

.

Nerfatal, drowned in crap and shat himself to death

V1.32 - 3:09 run with Heart of Wrath: https://youtu.be/X3QcCIEawro
Remember, Waves are evil, stay out of their way and avoid taking the full sunder to the face, along with the Meatball of DOOM and it’ll be a partial cakewalk. Can be facetanked too :3

V1.31 - 3:20min Pot3 run: https://youtu.be/wsvlsd7aEus

Old 4min+ run - https://youtu.be/PIxL_0HC33U

.

Ravager, Ravaged in 58 seconds :3

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZsEjock2vw
Facetankable, but break off from time to time or you will die.

.

Callagadra - Slaying the Beast with Shit - 1:34min

https://youtu.be/CTCy_j9h1rQ
Kite, kite and kite. Can only just be facetanked with Ascension up, but even that’s dicey. Might be better though with the current version, since i screwed up bleed resist on this run.

.

GD Mogdrogen - Snark Silenced Via Shit n Run - 1:46

https://youtu.be/7r3yMIRQA9Y
Avoid the Clouds at all costs, they will end you lawl,

.

Mog 2 boogaloo - 2:49 - Shit Beats Lightning

https://youtu.be/RjQ6CeHTsJE
The funnest battle of the lot, but very much Grim Souls too. Hard, but pretty fair, as long as you kill those fucking Yeti and remember to break off to heal.

This is just a ā€œit can be doneā€ post, because this user is still catching up on multiple bad nights + insomnia and thus too dysfunctional to do the terrible deeds that need doing.
Edit - finally committed to squeezing it all out lawl, mainly because I got a ton of confidence fighting Bobr with my Scion of Perdition build. And a lot of practice via dying :upside_down_face:

Anyhow, this makes use of Cool Down Dreegs Evil’s Eye, adds a shitload of retaliation damage to it, along with the obscenely powerful Noxious Fumes skill from the set, and plops in Acid Purge and Manticore to stack up Poison DoT’s of 600K+. So you can just drop you load and run away :3

GD Stashed it to to get the goods for getting good enough Ascension boni, which ideally should be all +retal%, but I’m lazy. Consider them ā€œaspirationalā€ rather than must haves, because this sets bonuses to retaliation are insane. Good thing too given how much of a pain in the rear certain parts of this are to obtain, never mind unlocking the throne to awaken them.

Will it deal with superbosses? Maybe Yes, it can. I can see Ravager being shat to death, Crate’s doable, but painful and easy, Cally is kite, kite and kite, same with old Mog, but no idea about the others. Have not tested it against the Dread yet, but with these DoT’s it should be fine :stuck_out_tongue: Edit - DONE, all hath been slain with shit and shit talking on top from Judgement.

And if you want more raw DPS you can always remove the point in the transmuter. But you’ll get less DoT, likely about 200-300K. Which in these days of health bloat and enemy healing ain’t that great, but you do you.

Oh and the poop memes are totally Crates fault and I have no regrets for being shitty with them :3

Errata - btw ā€œBa’alā€ just means ā€œLordā€ in the ancient Semitic languages, which the particle ā€œ-elā€ meaning ā€œof the lordā€ is drawn from for Hebrew. The moar you know :stuck_out_tongue:

Though the usual references to Ba’al are to thunder gods of various city states, because the ancient religions of the Fertile Crescent city states was built from local spirits/gods unique partly to each urban centre, then mixed up into a pantheon over time. With each god having it’s own cult and rituals. See Egyptian Religion for a better description, because unlike the City States, they wrote a hell of a lot of things down.

And yes, each god had it’s own temple and locked down shrine with an ritual icon of the god only touched by the priests once they were ritually clean. If this making you think of Yaweh/Jehovah, congrats, but that’s a topic for an entirely different place :3 As is the Lord’s wife lawl.

Anyhow, Beronath fight is a push over on Ultimate, because you can just kite and let the DoT’s do their thing. As long as you avoid the gunk and fissure attack and remember to use Ascension.

Is there a way to proc Obelisk’s Stone Form without any block chance? Is there some hidden mechanic?

That has nothing to do with ba’al actually, el is just the word for god, related with Akkadian ilum and Arabic al-ilah (the non-contracted form of ā€œallahā€). Also, congratulations on what I can (with the utmost respect) only call the most shit build ever put on the forum, very nice.

My bad, given the Jewish habit of stealing worbs/gods I didn’t check, but thanks for that piece of knowledge. Because somehow I slept on the fact El was already a semitic god :upside_down_face: I’m going to blame years of monotheism hogging the limelight for that lawl. But I swear I feel like I read through this wiki page in the past, a feeling I can probably blame Covid for, because it did a number on some of my memories.

Anyhow I really should go get a uni library card already, because I know the University of Canterbury has some texts on this. But I is a mess at present and barely functional, but hopefully once the ADHD is medicated I can catch up on my non-fiction reading.

Oh and what was lurking in The Ark of the Covenant was probably a golden idol assuming early Hebrew’s followed that tradition and kept the icon safe when it wasn’t emplaced in the shrine. Which is deeply ironic given Moses’s gripping about another golden idol XD

Just finished putting this build together in game and I like it a lot so far, the damage output is quite good. Only gripe would be its not as tanky as I would hope for a retaliation build, I was also wondering about what DarkStyx had said the stone form ability seems to be kinda useless in the build as the final form doesnt have a shield? Although the rest of Obelisks abilities are pretty good I am not sure if that one point would be better used somewhere else?

Edit: I might be off the mark but could Scales maybe be worked in instead of Obelisk?

I’ve found Obelisk is very, very important for tankiness if you don’t take a path than includes Hyrian etc. As for Stone Form, it increases armour etc, so it still has some utility and more importantly, increases total retaliation. Though if I had 5 more points I’d also take Scales for some more flat RR and sustain.

As for tankiness, that’s casters for you that aren’t Arcanist/Inquisitor based since Maivens and Seal lead to very tanky casters. For every other combo you need to kite, usually. Phoenix Fire does help a bit, but this is a build were Viring out of harms way is a good idea and works because DEE with the transmuter etc leaves big poison DoT’s in your wake. Though with The Dread and similar bosses, you’re going to want to stay mobile anyhow because only the most tanky of builds can face tank them.

And awesome to hear you’re finding it fun :3

Ok I do see what you’re saying with Obelisk being important for tankiness, especially since you get the extra armor absorption from it. I guess where I am confused though is that on the tooltip Stone Form says it has a 33% chance of triggering On Block, since the build is using an offhand and not a shield doesn’t that mean there is a 0% chance the ability will ever trigger? Since we aren’t using a shield we aren’t ever blocking so I am unsure how it will be triggered. I might be wrong but that’s why I was thinking the skill isn’t as useful as you were originally thinking, although I do agree the rest of the constellation is pretty helpful.

Yeah man its a lot of fun thanks for theory crafting it, I love retal builds and like you the second I saw this new set I knew I had to make a new character and build around it haha.

I’ll test that today, to check if Stone Form procs without a shield, because historically it used to work that way

Bit annoying of Zantai to make that change, because it restricts retal builds to mainly use shields sadly…

Yeap, turns out it only works with shields
/siiiiiiiigh

Derp.

Anyhow, changed to this:

Picked up Hyrian and Eye of the Guardian for this change.

Updated, finally cracked Ravager, will have to rerun stuff to get new times etc though, but that will have to wait. Because crap for brains here was up until 8am NZ time due to having two raspberry and peanut butter sandwiches. Because it turns out natural raspberries are as effective as coffee when it comes to ADHD :upside_down_face:

Wish it’d worked that way when I was at uni lawl.

Edit - huh, just worked out he died last night actually, my DoT’s got him and I didn’t even know XD But it was taking 2 minutes to kill him because I couldn’t handle the blood pools + his Savagery hits in terms of bleeding etc. And of course I kept not dodging the Sunders, because I art Gumby. AKA the reason why I usually build in multiple layers of defence when making my own builds.

Addendum - derp de derp de pooooooop.

Forgot to take Affliction for fuck’s sake >_<

Anyhow, N’erfatal done. Took 4 minutes, but he is the stronkest super boss at present. Ba’al held up okay though without Targo, and without Bloodthirster too :3 May yet find a better devotion path though. Maybe drop Hyrian? Eh, too tired to theory this out :upside_down_face:

/Actual - Bump

New SR30-31 footage is here and from the looks it can now run SR30-31 in under 5 minutes provided you know what you’re doing. Namely dumping a load of shit and running away :3

And not staying under Raddoth’s own shit lawl. Oww.

I’ll get the others tomorrow+, right sleeeeeeep.

Have you seen the dervish version of the build on reddit?

Nah, I rarely bother with reddit these days due to burnout and the fact reddit moderation can be deeply shitty, especially if you’re a deeply snarky enby like me.

Anyhow, I can haz link pleazeeee? Because didn’t see it when I briefly checked.

I like it because it goes all in on the poop skill and nothing else.

Right, back on teh shit-based grind, Ravager finally recorded and done in just under a minute XD, Bobr run cut by 1 minute via Path of the Three, now to get everything bloody else, And also make some dinner, hopefully.

/Celestial-Bump

Gods? I bow before no Gods, rather I shit talk them to death :3

And now only Mog 2 - Electric Boogaloo is left, looks about on par with Mog 1, so just need to kite more.

Edit - Mog 2 DEFEATED. Fun fight, hard fight though, especially trying to juggle all the risks and deal with those fucking shitbag Yeti before they stun lock you to death. Anyhow, it’s all done, 7/7 super bosses slain, SR30-35 in the bag, but need to re-record due to changed version/more tweaks as I just noticed that pierce overcap :upside_down_face:

But should be about the same. May choose insanity though and try the main version against SR34-35 despite my recent horror show with it with the Scion of Perdition. As not even Possession saved that build

hi, i would like to try the shitlord, i’m not that expert in the game, may i ask you the guilde from 1 to 100? thanks

Oh Voy, I just had a look and seemingly no one has done that for retaliation based Dreeg’s Evil Eye. This is evil frankly.

I might have to do something then :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyhow fortunately there’s other ones for DEE, so take this one until you get your hands on enough acid retaliation gear and/or Daega’s Oath and then respec into Ba’al devotion path and get this set needed for this build. Though this is not a beginners build due to the Ascended Affixes it needs in the end, but in the long run it’s definitely doable and will work for farming Ascendant Mode, though until you’ve got 2-3 Ascension prolonging Ascended Affixes I’d be very careful when it comes to fighting The Dread or even turn it off once you’ve defeated it for an easier time.
