Bane of Uroboruuk. (Pet Cabalist )

Credits goes to : @Autentist @thepowerofmediocrity This build improved
and iterated a lot since its infancy thanks to these two heavyweights
with immeasurable wisdom and constant feedback.

Credits goes to Serafim_94 && Karyoplasma for the macro script guide.

The power that could annihilates all grimdawn can offer!
----All creations shall tremble before the Bane of Uroboruuk!

MadQueen is always my favorite appetizer : MQ 5 seconds kill(now4) Video

You could estimate the kill time from the cool down timer
of the overpowered wrath of the beast tincture

Let’s see what Ravager said about me:Ravager Ultimate Hack Video

Mog has a really high opinion of the necromancer too!!:
Sorry no mog video cuz I didn’t record a video the first time I kicked his ass.
Later he just refused to be embarrassed.

I kinda trashed Lokarr in 13 seconds.
Feel like I could do better now (Maybe 10-12 seconds?)
becuz i optimized the build a little.

The Lokarr Video

I trashed his (Lokarr) Coliseum too by the way :

Take away :
Pets’ power are linear with your investment in their skill points.
----Far more important than pet %damage, pet Critical Damage or Offensive ability,
this is the number one concern!

Plus all to skills are like compound interest,
if you stack plus 5 to all skills and you need to cap 6 skills
----You’ve already saved 30 skill points!

Skills for Occultist mastery:

Important notes:

  1. Hellfire, storm spirit , Blood of Dregg give flat damage,
you should try your best to invest as much as you can.
(I maxed hellfire with the other two not far behind.)

  2. Plz give Curse of frailty and its modifier 10 points for the 10 meters radius
    and solid resistances reduction.

  3. Bonds of bysmiel is super important, cabalist’s pets do not have really high defense,
(High defensive ability or high damage reduction or high armor or high physical resistance.)
a huge health pool is a must.

  4. Keep manipulation at 12.(More than 12 points is vanishing investment.)

  5. Ember claws and inferno breath really help with the devotion(eldritch fire) proc,
without it the difference is plain obvious, but one point is enough since this is a skeles
    build.
Lighting strike makes raven actually relevant as a dps source, one point wonder.
Mend flesh is not very reliable but pretty nice to have—one point also.

Skills for Necromancer mastery:

Important notes:

  1. Cap everything skeleton related.
(Summon skeletons, will of the crypt, undead legion<20 points>)

  2. Cap rotting fumes(20 points)
----Great DA debuff(In layman terms , it gives you a great Critical Damage Chance. )

  3. 12 points for master of death.
(More than 12 points is vanishing investment.)

Summary:

  1. Skill points are so important to cabalist and should never be overlooked.
(I have like +5 to all skills)

  2. Plz push <flat damage for pets> skills to extreme.
(Blood of dregg, hellfire, storm spirit.)

3 Push skills that give pet offensive ability buff
and enemies’ defensive ability debuff to extreme.
(Rotting fumes, blood of dregg. More critical damage.)

  1. If you don’t focus on another pet to make a <That pet exclusive build>,
then one point for that pet is enough cuz one pet will never beat 10 skeles.

  2. Bonds of bysmiel should be capped.
(Important defense for you skeles, without it, they are scary fragile.)

  3. Soul harvest is not chosen cuz-------
casting bone harvest exposes cabalist to danger on high wave crucible
and the damage is peanuts compared to my burst setup.(Story for another time.)

  4. Ravenous Earth and decay not chosen for the fact that
even nemesis die in 5-6 seconds when this build goes burst mode.
(And it’s important to kill them fast before they can cause some real damage.)

Take Away:

Sheperd's Crook is used in every pet build.

-----Auto Include

Important notes:

  1. Giant’s blood is an important survival mechanism when hungering void is triggered.
------But if you don’t play gladiator crucible maybe you can replace it?

  2. I choose dying god over Mog’s wolf cuz this build focuses on pet vitality and chaos damage.

  3. Skills like bat, blind fury, bull-rush, falcon sweep etc are pretty inferior on skeletons
    compared with resistances shredders
like huntress’s mark, acid spray, or aether bomb, eldritch fire.

Heard once from a very wise bird
…Blind fury triggers a lot on ranged skeles thus reduces a huge potion of its impact.
———this is especially true in boss battles and I see a significant dps plummet .
(the more skeles you have, the more times it will trigger on archers and mages
that stand 20 meters away from nemesis and bosses)

  1. If you assign a single pet to a resistance shredder,
make sure to click one point of pet skills like ember claws,
inferno breath or blight burst to escalate the debuff
----believe it or not, the spreading time is significantly shorter.

5.Make sure to choose some constellations
that give you movement speed if you want to solo gladiator crucible
—This is huge cuz a lot of pet builds are always kiting there.
------ How can you kite if you run like a turtle?

6.Woverine gives great pet bleed and pierce resistance
(Must have for this build, those pet resistances are the hardest to get for a cabalist, pick them up!).

  1. Time dilation is mainly used offensively to reduce the cooldown of the weapon skill-witching hour
which gives huge burst damage to your pets.
But of course your other skills ride the bandwagons too.

Grimtools(Tough Skeles Version)

You can lazy pilot this build in ultimate and still feel extremely powerful.

If you are a more active pilot, I take the best ideas from “resummoning is the new heal” and “resilient skeletons”
to present you with a much higher crit and burst version of the build
that requires more constant resummoning and micros.

The newer version Skeles can crit MadQueen for 7.3k-11.4k in burst mod.
This build is a true slaughtering machine.

Grimtools(Burst mode)

Take away:
Stack as many + to all skills, pet resistances, %pet offensive ability, pet speed as possible.
(Importance in descending order)

Equip gears that help cap your pet's (In this case skeletons) supplementary skills.

( Like will of the crypt )

Weapon

Witching hour is the heart and soul of this build.
------+2 to all skills is vitally important , the skill witching hour is the staple of burst damage,
it has plus one to skeles too to help you cap the skill.

Jewellery

Rings
The speed bonus for the summoner from the voidwhisper band is actually very important,
so are the +skills to skeles and hellfire,
the chaos damage conversion for pets make skeles exceptionally dangerous in a burst round.

The conjuring seal gives you sought after aether resistance
as well as some decent health.
It gives + 2 to skeletons which is quite important in its own right.
+75% to all damage is a force to be reckon with.
(This is the reason why I don’t wear two void whisper bands,
you need the base +% to all damage to reach a certain threshold, favorably 900%-1000%.)

Amulet

Just for the +1 to all skills.

Alternate MI Ring

Replace the conjuring seal with this one if you have the money.
You sacrifice some health for more base % to all damage to your pets.

Medal

If you lack offensive ability for pets, nothing beats legion mark of the void.
If not, replace it with something else.

Relic

+1 to all skills is like super important.
The relic also gives great pet aether and chaos resistance.

Helm

Why beastcaller? This build is designed for burst damage, the helm gives you the easy money
----Call of the beasts.
There will be a time when you want to smash those panic buttons(Burst skills) together to quickly take down tough enemies .

Hey, parrot, the clairvoyant hat and the sovereign ruby of domination seems like another lovely couple
------- I love the overcapped elemental resistance and % offensive ability buff for pets from beastcaller better.
(This edge is especially helpful in gladiator crucible 170)

Chest Armor

If you are doing campaign(No need for overcapped elemental resistance, and you are fine with nine skeles,
you can swap this for Dread armor of Azragor.)

Shoulder

Not many gears give +2 to storm spirit, a whooping +9% to pet offensive ability ,
you deserve to have one.

Gloves

Default option.

Pants

You have to roll the caged souls suffix here,
you don’t have to have bysmiel-sect leggerds, but bysmiel-sect leggerds are pretty easy to farm anyway.

Go for the MI if you could afford…

Belt

The belt gives great pierce resistance for pets you can’t get it else where for a cabalist.

Boots

Default option.

Components

Seal of Might for the weapon. Eldritch Mirror for helm&chest armor.

Summary
1.Helm/Weapon/Offhand/Amulet slots should contribute to +1 to all skills.

2.There are awesome MIs in Pants/Shoulder slots
that give great pet resistances.

3.You should always look for ways
to cap your pet skills in your ring slots.

  1. As for relics…
    Dirge of arkovia—Big pet build.

Mog’s Ardor—More balanced Skeles build.

Primal instinct sucks in Gladiator crucible without buff or banner
cuz the insects are fragile and slow.

Bysmiel’s Domination is reactive, it’s great in packs of mobs
but bad in front of nemesis and really tough bosses
cuz you need to bleed the summoner for its power.

Take Away:
It’s always a balance between power and defense
cuz you only have enough resources.
This build balances aggro and defense pretty well.
-----Perfectly balanced.

There are times when we get confused over pet dps, pet health, pet resistance and the resilience of the build overall.
---------You wanna ask,
---------Let’s cut all the min-max bullshit and talk to me like I’m five.
---------How good is enough?
Pet health: If you wanna your skeles to feel ‘tanky’.
— Pet health>250% . For other big pet build >100% is enough.

Pet % damage:favorably 800-1000%.

Pet offensive ability: 55-70%.

Pet speed: All>70%.

Pet resistance: Elemental, aether&chaos should be >80%.
(It would be nice to overcap them by 30%),
while pierce and bleed & poison should be > 70%.

Pet defensive ability: Not important for skeles,
5% and 20% feel like the same
cuz their base DA are too low to matter.

As for the summoner himself,
— >14k health, >2400 DA,>1600 armor
80% resistance is enough.
Stun res is pretty nice to have,
but it’s just like condom.
------Not mandatory.:p:p
Pretty shaky em?
------We let skeles do the dirty job anyway,
------We just run around and enjoy the slaughtering sensation.

There are many tricks about piloting,
but I wanna focus on how to use
burst skills.

Take Away:
You must be really careful about the timing of going into burst mode,
especially in glad crucible, you wanna use it when things go south or
you wanna take the initiative and finish off a huge threat before they
can deal some serious damage.

Our skeles are really tanky,
but they don’t deal that FKU damage when they are chilling.(12k-17k crit)

—Yet when you are in burst mode, your skeles are like Kratos.

—When you are surrounded by trash mobs or a huge threat like a nemesis
or an elite boss, you know it’s time to press the panic buttons!

Burst skill:
Call of the beast, Witching hour, Hungering void,
Call of the grave,Wrath of the beast tincture.

Put those skills in a separate skill tab(1~5),
set switching tab to tab on the keyboard.

So whenever you wanna go Super Saiyan,
just press tab and smash 1~5 on the keyboard together.

Your skeles crit from 50k to 100k
—you have 10 of those empowered grim reapers!

Macro Script Guide to help you automate your burst.

Here is a peek of the power of a God!

Take Away:

Most of your questions could be solved in front of a training dummy.:rolleyes:

Q1: Let’s talk about Skeles.

A1:There are three schools of thoughts on Skeletons.

  1. Resummoning is the new heal.—Dashiv
  2. Let’s give them insane health and resist (Especially Elemental and Aether resistance)
and make them a Tank. --Parrot
  3. Constant healing and dots clearing—heal tank. --Parrot

Q2;Lots of the build guides in the forum assume
that you are already at the end-game stage
and you are gear-affluent.
I feel frustrated and a little lost
when I’m leveling up my pet build, any pointers?

A2: I will write an article on "the joy of pet build’
and hope that covers most of your concerns.

Q3:Is Flame torrent still the recommended devotion proc on skeletons?
Is Rend or something else a better choice?

A3: Flame torrent is still effective in crucible when mob packs’ density is high.
It’s nice to have but not like super OP or anything.

Same thing could be said of rend,
but whether you pick up huntress or fiend
really depends on your constellation architecture .
Resistance Shredder > Skills without cooldown > Skills with cool down.

Q4: The problem of pure pet build is the super fragile summoner.
With that very low DA, How do you deal with enemies
who always go straight to the player like iron maiden or any other nemesis
that immune to taunt?

A4: In Gladiator Crucible,
run around maiden in a small circle if she is the only one.
Run around her and burst, she should be down in 7 seconds.
----Check out the Lokarr video for reference.

If there are 4 nemesis chasing you, choose a terrain
like crucible of the legion or crucible of the sand
where there is a middle ground.

Run to the middle at the start of the final wave ,
then run out when they start to cram in, they should be on your tail now.

Then run around the outer ring of the crucible,
check my crucible videos out for reference.

Q5: How many classes do you think are viable for pet builds?

A5:Classes I made through Gladiator Crucible 170 without buff or banner
–Cabalist, Ritualist, Apostate,Conjurer,Spellbinder.

Classes I made through 160 without: Warlock.

I heard that deceiver is viable too.

There are three types of pet builds right now,
Resistance tank(Vintage TPOW ) and Heal tank(Apostate),
Burst kite(Most builds you see in the forum fall in this category),
Control kite(Warlock).

Q6:There are so many pet build guides recently,
can you summarize a little bit so us mortals could build our own ?

A6:Patch 1.0.6.0 empowered pet skills,
just invest points in any pet to the max(26) and make a hybrid.
(e.g. 2ravens with 3 blight fiends or 2 ravens with 1 hellhound).
Hybrid is much more powerful than say a pure blight fiends build,
and investment in pet AOE yields better return than damage type conversion.

Amusing! You’ve made me use 5% of my true power!

Oh, Dravis, don’t try to look so badass…

You think I can’t recognize you behind that hideous mask in that little Bagends of yours you call it crucible?

I know you are an orphan and your daddy Uroboruuk abandoned your sorryass…

Don’t worry though, I’m the most powerful necromancer now, I will kill Uroboruuk for you if you bend your knees…

Parrot scale your images - don’t upload pics more then 1100 pixels in width.

Oh and grats on finally posting an actual guide

Thx for the support!:p:p

The old one has spoken!

Wow, now I realized how cute Blight Fiend is. Damn.

Cuteness overload!

This is truly impressive. But farming all those MI will take forever.

Don’t worry, I actually have a version which you only have to farm bysmiel-sect leggerds. It can finish glad150 and superbosses. I haven’t tested on glad 170.
(without buff or banner of course)

Awesome Sneaky parrot !

Could it be you DaShiv in disguise…

Or perhaps one of his best student

Resized all overpowered image, this world is safer now!:p:p

(Thx for the suggestion, it turns out that the website I discovered gives shitty resolutions, but I found out a few lines of python script I wrote way back that did the trick.)

Dashiv, who? :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Pre Thanks for the pet build guide…hope you get this build up soon.

Attempting a Hybrid Lighting Conjurer, Bird and Turd pet only, no pup.

Using Wind Devils and Totems. Really feel castrated, with the Devotions change, basically forcing me to take skills as range or melee build instead of caster. Though trying to stay with Devils n Totems for now.

My opinion of course…

Back on topic. Looking forward to your guide, and hope to see more experienced pet players like yourself test hybrid builds.
