So I have leveled to 98 with the DaShiv Night King Build mostly playing with a friend that is Shaman/Occultist pet build…
The problem is now that I am in ultimate most of the time I run into any of the harder NPCs (open world bosses or named type) I get absolutely destroyed either by a lack of an aggro mechanic or by my skeletons being destroyed then the NPC charges me. I am using all found gear, do not have the Seal of Might or eldritch Mirror.
Any help would really be appreciated.

Get ALL of your resistances (besides Stun) to 80%+ immediately. Also, replace your weapon with a Mythical or Non-Mythical Witching hour ASAP and craft Bysmiel’s Domination relic. Buy some faction pet gear from the Coven, Barrowholm, Legion, and Devil’s Crossing and use their augments.
That will help tremendously.
So maybe I’m missing something but how do I get items asap? I’ve run SoT on Ultimate multiple times and am into the AoM content and haven’t seen a witching hour or the recipe for the relic you mentioned. I seems to get 1 maybe 2 drops from the chests in SoT and they are usually garbage or gear for some kind of poison cold nightblade. Also I’ve been working on the reputations and I think barrowholm and devil’s cross are my last two to get maxed out (didn’t find out about the rep exp boost scrolls until late in elite) how do you max out resistances with low bonus powders and components? You can only use o e of each on any given item correct?
You can get pet items from faction vendors. Just walk up and buy them! If you don’t have the relic recipe, don’t worry! Deathchill is fine for now.
You can max it out by sacrificing damage. Use items that give +Resistances instead of +Pet Damage until you can get augments. You can use one component AND one augment per item except on medals.
Faction Pet Gear and the build I posted will get you through Ultimate with no problems!

Guys, anybody know what Skills some devotions are tied to? I removed Bone Harvest and didn’t have enough skills to bind void to anything else, I have all the pets but I dont have the option of using those.
Mine are as follows:
Shepherd’s Call: Curse of Frailty
Eldritch Fire: Hellhound
Flame Torrent: Skellies
Hungering Void: Doom Bolt
Time Dilation: Reap Spirit
Giant’s Blood: Master of Death
I attempted to follow this build but I am 5 skill points short … how is this possible?
Did all in necro and in occultist i am only able to get 8/12 in Hellfire and 0/12 in Infernal breath…
Have you gotten every extra skill point from quests? You get 237 from levels, then 7 extras from:
-3 from Kasparov’s quest for Aether Crystals across Normal, Elite and Ultimate (1 per difficulty).
-3 from The Hidden Path across Normal, Elite and Ultimate (1 per difficulty).
-1 for completing the Honoured reputation quest for the Coven of Ugdenbog on Ultimate. It’s given by Rugia.
I have to thank you Sneaky Parrot for this guide. I’m a total noob and this thread made me realize about some aspects that a grimtools link can’t teach me.
