rework ur gear because u dont have enough ressistance and if ur playing phantasmal blade u better take skill time of that skill idk if u have aom or not but if u do u should make a good and powerfull build with aom gear.
In general, you want to funnel all your damage into a single damage type because:
It is easier to apply resist reduction
It is easier to stack %bonus damage as your flat damage from gear and devotions will benefit far more (e.g. having 2000% cold damage is better than having 500% fire, cold, lightning, pierce damage)
Chances are, this build is ripping through normal for the simple fact that enemies don’t have resists…yet.
Might be a great leveling build though, but I would advice caution when proceeding to elite/ultimate.
Looks like you’re going for a PB build. Look up fluff’s cold-based build for some inspiration (which for the life of me I can’t find and link you. Sorry!)
Best rings for you would probably be alkamos. And you’ll want to swap out the gloves for chilling grips of hagarrad.
Here is my Trickster Tornado build that I made awhile ago. Rather fun to summon a bunch of tornado-esque skills/devotions/procs and so on and then shadow strike a far distant target only to have them all pop up as well.
Eh my build was about maximizing Blade Spirit. I don’t remember if I completed all of Crucible but did manage to deal with vanilla secret boss after 1 death + expansion secret boss first try.
The only caster Trickster that works is a Demonslayer PB build. Your main damage type is vitality and you can stack massive resistance reduction to it from rings and Dev. Swarm. Secondary types are cold and bleeding. Use a shield and get Stone Form (Obelisk) for defense, as well as the vitality lifesteal devotions, you should be tanky enough for Crucible, let alone the main campain. Use Blade spirit to proc Manticore, you can even max it for a more hands-off aproach to gameplay if it floats your boat, but I prefer to spend the points on Tenacity of the Boar for much needed OA/DA.
While I didn’t use a trickster, I was running a PB reaper.
With the help of ptir, we concluded that 26/16 BS is still BS in crucy. They die off pretty fast due to AoE, Kuba is a pain, and having to recast it so often takes up time which could otherwise have been spent spamming PB.
Just did a run up to 150 Gladiator and I think I only noticed the Nemesis pet die a few times but for the most part it wasn’t that difficult. Granted I had the defensive aura + 2 protections that helped last through all the waves.
I’ll see tomorrow if I can get to 175 as I didn’t have enough time.
However, that doesn’t mean it’s the most efficient use of skill points. The again, I always make the assumption that efficiency is the biggest priority for players.
I apologize if I came across that way. It really wasn’t my intention.
2 things:
Chthon does NOT make cookiecutter builds. He is one of the most creative crafters around.
I wasn’t asking you to copy chthon’s build. I was suggesting you look at the logic of his build, and to see if you can learn anything from it.
I for one have learnt (and am still learning!) a lot by looking at how the veterans go about crafting their specs.
If I may be direct - I made those suggestions because it seems to me that your understanding of the gameplay mechanics is somewhat lacking (it’s not bad by any means, however).
It’s just that implementing all of the changes you suggested kind of defeated the purpose, plus suggesting I just look at another build, that’s how it came off.
I want to try to make this work, if it doesn’t, I can always switch to something else later.
I just want an image of a goal to work towards so that I don’t make a ton of mistakes trying to reach that endpoint.
If the endpoint doesn’t work, no biggie. I’ll work on something else.
Here’s some of your suggestions implemented that still stays true to the concept.
