It is very boring to look for holes in fences after an attack, especially when the fence passes through trees.
Make the “restore everything” button or how else to simplify this activity.
Use the Walls icon in the lower right, use the cursor to highlight the area and select “rebuild” from the menu.

One trick that makes actually finding the destroyed fences easier: at the end of every raid in the upper left you will get a “You have been Raided” message with a summary: X number of raiders killed, X number of villagers killed, X number of Buildings destroyed.
Count the actual buildings, like warehouses or Walls and Gates destroyed, and what’s left is the number of fence sections they got. I found it relatively simple to backtrack the main raiding force and find the wrecked fencing, and be fairly certain I didn’t miss any sections - because it is absolutely guaranteed that every Deer on the map will find any collapsed fence that you missed and prance through to loot and pillage amongst your crops.
