Bows and arrows can't be sold/bought

Hello, I’m not sure it is a bug, but you can’t sell/buy arrows/bows in trading posts.

Nope, they’ve never been possible to sell, same as you can’t seem to sell cows.

That’s weird because when you have excess cows the tooltip suggests selling excess cows.

Why? You can sell literally anything.

I’ve no idea, but they’re not in the saleable items as far as the game is concerned. Cows appear for trade, so maybe a trader would want them one day.

Easily mass producible items such as bows and arrows, food, etc. are not tradeable.

Cows are not currently tradeable, but may be in the future.

Arrows I can understand, as 10 arrows come from 1 log. This would make each arrow worth less than 1g even at the highest price of logs, so understandable those can’t be sold. But bows are 1 bow for 1 log, so if bows were traded at the same price as logs, there would be nothing to gain versus just selling the logs. But it would be nice when you forget to change the fletcher and end up with 200 bows, that you could sell some of them.

I agree with the point though. Food/cows would be too much.

But wood planks are tradeable. Logs too. Grain, peas, flours…

I think Jaradis makes a good point, though when I read it I was first confused about what 1g (1 gram or 1 thousand) referred to. Perhaps it is good to point out Au is the symbol for gold but even still, there is Au ore and Au Ingots still to dicern.

The arrows are made in packs of 20 but are consumed individually by each user. When they run out, they fetch more but this is also in a grouped bunch so you may never see an inventory with any amount that is not evenly divisible by 10 or perhaps even 20. Perhaps arrows could be inventoried as a quiver of arrows instead, and the consumer would then split that quiver down into a usable stack with its own counter when he picks it up. Equipped items are never put back into inventory as far as I can tell.

The only way to sell cows is as butchered raw meat. I think this is because on the market, when you sell a whole cow it is intended to be butchered anyway. It just preserves it longer for transportation until they can be taken to butcher and then smoked. The thing to do then is to either sell chunks of raw meat after manually selecting a number to butcher, or make more smoke houses. You can depopulate those when they are no longer needed.
