Buildings That Could Use A Level Upgrade

This is mostly for late game play for efficiency reasons, and assumes that there won’t be a functional change (new production recipe, etc).

  • Market Level 3 - This could do well just adding 2 more worker slots, but storage capacity and spoiling rate improvements could be considered. When you have upgraded all your houses to Mansions, you have a lot of non-grocers leaving their work to stock their shelters, due to Grocers not being able to keep up.

-Tannery, Cobbler, Soap Shop, Basket Weavers - These could be upgraded simply to allow more workers in the same single building space. This avoids inefficiency in the late game. Other buildings can remain as is to avoid making things too easy.

  • Apiary - Creating sufficient honey to supply for Beer, Medicine, and Pastries in the later game means having to have Apiaries out in random empty spaces, and Farmers are already a bit funny when your Fields are spread out around the map. An Apiary upgrade which gets an exponential increase in Honey production (not Wax) based on Honey Bonus would really help with that.
(Say the upgrade is barely worth it unless it’s going over the bonus of a Field, for balance purposes)

Actually, Level 2 rat catcher too. While all the other buildings can be placed whenver you want, you MUST have rat catcher inside the city and their appearance are very very ugly when placed close to Level 5 houses (mansions).

Good one!
I forgot about that one, I only went over the ones I could think of when on the Production Buildings part of the wiki lol.

Among the visual update, it could give kitties a place to sleep so that Cats could go around the area giving it a passive reduction in the chances of Rats appearing (mitigating the production loss caused by the Rat Catcher getting drunk)

agreed (reach minimum characters)

There’s a few old buildings that looking out of place now with the new max tier housing, like the hospital, they could all use a facelift :slightly_smiling_face:
