Can we have a "Casual" Difficulty!

I am sick and tired of seeing all this difficulty issues with Normal and Veteran difficulty due to the latest patch.

To solve things why dont add a new mode to let the “peasant” players be happy with no stress whatsoever, let them all congregate in one mode called “Casual/Story” difficulty. A tier lower than Normal where monsters deal absolutely no damage that even when afk ,players dont die. That way they can enjoy the story and sights with no problems.

And below that, we could have a “Totally Braindead” difficulty:

  • Players start at level 100, with all masteries, skills and constellations maxed out.
  • Enemies have a fixed value of 5 hp and their attacks heal you (you can’t take damage, though).
  • Your base speed is increased by 500% and you have an aura that deal 10000 points of pure damage to enemies in a radius of 15 meters.
  • You instantly get all the achievements unlocked, even if you aren’t playing hardcore.

Because it’s a shit load of work for no good reason. Normal is Normal and Veteran is Veteran. That the game became more casual was unintended and now the devs are correcting that. Nuff said.

Its good if normal is easy mode :rofl: I really am too lazy to farm dungeons early levels and sometimes am not following my own advises about resistances and non crittable DA. So normal should be easy for me, otherwise have to grind early on :worried:

NO NEED, I am totally noob, I got just 1 char, my first one /shaman-soldier / AND I OWN normal with no problems. If you have problems, take care of your items - craft a little bit, make a better weapon and use some gold for some relics/ medals etc.

Well, why don’t introduce more difficulty-modes… one where you don’t even need to run and fight yourself, but an ARPG Managment-Simulator, where the only thing you do is sell (autopickedup) Loot, and managing your character via skilltree/devotion and equiping stuff(but an autoskill/autoequip feature for people who find it too complex), and enjoy the Story, and with the possibilty to order incombat the skills the character should use, if you want a bit more control.

Or as variation Game-Mode inspired by an certain Indiegame which is called “Crypt of the Grim-Dancer” but a bit simpler, where you still move automatically but you need to click on enemy or skills rythmically to the neat Grim Dawn OST…

Oh i forgot, and both modes offer an diablo3-esque smartloot system so you only loot gets dropped which your class or better say build can use.

Can we have a TORMENT XXX difficulty that can suit PROS like me and I AM ZEUS and his twin Bannedforbeinggood? Calla and Crate box is WAAAY to easy. I basically want the zombies outside devils crossing to be 18 times as hard as calla, individually!

Then I also want an EXPLAIN mode for the game, where I can pause the game whenever I want and ask questions about everything I see or can think about. Like who lives in this house, where can I buy hot dogs and what is Byscillas bra size?

Now i see even more possibilitys, what about the dialogue-system they teased us? Instead of fighting, talking with the enemy. Comeon Crate make an Point & Click Romance Adventure out of GD PLEASE.

And additionally i’d like to 've two new combat Systems introduced. RTwP and even more: Roundbased… like Divinity Original Sin plllllleeeezzzz

What you propose would cut out the very core of what games like GD are about.
You might want to look up games like:

  • The Vanishing of Ethan Carter
  • What Remains of Edith Finch
  • Dear Esther

Those titles focus on storytelling through exploration without any combat involved.

Well it could be the language barrier, and as an Austrian Guy who speak german, i might misunderstand something / see it wrongly, but for me it looks rather like he mocks at the People who aren’t able to beat Normal / Veteran anymore thanks to the recent update and made this outcry, by making an troll suggestion. Maybe and that’s a big maybe with a small serious note that crate should consider it, so the whiners finally shut up and we don’t have to read this nonsense anymore. Than again like i said, maybe i’m wrong.

Hate to kill this poor creatures. Want to accomplish "pacifist’’ achievement :stuck_out_tongue:

normal difficulty is casual mode. if some players want easier difficulty, just search the mod for it or make it themselves. crate has much more important projects to focus on.

True, new town builder for one, new possible project Zantai’s ramping up on for another. :+1:

There could be an easy solution to please both crowds if it is that needed.

Just make Normal/Elite/Ultimate be easier compared to how it is atm and have the Veteran option available for all difficulties which will then ramp up things to how they are atm or even harder.

But the question is, is it really needed?
