Does this item drop in any place other than Fort Haron? Maybe in the SR or Crucible? Is there a trader that sells it, perhaps?

Only Master Ravok drops it. Who will only appear if you join KC.
AFAIK those targetable loot do not drop in SR or crucible.

it should drop in SR (probably also Cruci), these aren’t special bosses or MIs so they’re part of the general loot pool there afaik, unless something changed very recently
it can however be a right pita to get it to drop since, well, shares spot with a zillion other MIs :sweat_smile:
personally i recommend just levelling a different toon that sides with them, as for farming purposes it can be done relatively quickly

i don’t get how that’s ironic
it drops from the ones using it
the ones using it is naturally necros
obvious no logic required the drop is for kymons since they are killing necros :thinking:

It’s just exceedingly annoying to sneak into Chosen ranks as a necromancer, that’s all. I tried to monoclass until the Homestead once. Never again.

I honestly always monoclass until like level 40, not many skillpoints to spread around two masteries.

I’m monoclassing to Homestead in HC Ultimate. Character is currently a level 53 Inquisitor with seal, aura and renewal line all maxed and 40 points saved. It’s been a long journey with many close calls.

This is basically my first time using Inquisitor Seal. I have learned to never ever leave my safe space.

I don’t like to use leveling builds, so I was just using seal, aura and normal attack to kill things. A sort of challenge run. I was going to get bone harvest and WPS skills from necro.

Not being able to benefit fully from Fleshwarped Shard - Items - Grim Dawn Item Database by delaying Necro seems like too much of a handicap to an already meme build :thinking: This helmet is not worth it to have earlier (I mean in MC instead of a drop in SR or sth).

Death’s Whisper Hood drops before Fleshwarped Shard, so you wouldn’t have to delay Necro that far ? :thinking:

*and if you assume Merit to farm shard fast, then you can unlock Kymon fast with the same merit too :sweat_smile: (faster still since shard is also gated to min lvl 40 even)

Tbf I may not understand what OP is planning to do.
Optimally

  • you get Fleshwarped Shard at level 40 using merit
  • you spec into Necro to benefit from it
  • you don’t use the helmet (at least eventually) because it’s too low level (it’s HC)

Right? What’s the reason for monoclassing?

i have no idea about the mono classing thing,
like i said, you both can spec into necro much earlier, and i normally would if speaking optimally, - i’d have no issue delaying it to 40-50 on casual/fun run tho
(optimally speaking i’d unlock kymon right after Krieg with Merit, waiting that long purely to get to proper move Ulgrim and Reddan)
