It is difficult to follow the food chain or the materials chain in the Settlement Items list. For instance, if I’m low on food, I want to see the food chain – for instance, wheat, flour, bread, fruit, preserves, etc. whether they are a raw material, produced item, food, etc. Things are too disconnected in the current categories.
If you tick the ‘show categories’ box in settlement items then for example grain, flour and bread are shown in those categories i.e Grain in Raw Materials, Flour in Produced items, & bread in Food.

Thank you for replying. “Show categories” is the default view and I find it unhelpful. Grain is in raw materials, flour is two rows down and bread is in the row between. Grain is separated from other food related raw materials by ore and clay and whatnot. Checking inline categories condenses the view but doesn’t improve the order of items.
I’m suggesting a view that shows me only food related items (e.g., top row: grain, honey, legumes, greens, meat/fish, etc. Second row: flour (this is the odd middle item in food). Third row: bread, smoked meats, preserves, etc.
Aka, the food chain. And then something similar in building materials (e.g., ore, clay, wood, etc.).
