I was thinking about turning my cadence melee chaos character into a pyromancer instead, considering the Darkblaze items supports that combination much better. In addition to that i have never really played a demolitionist character before
How about this devotion setup for Hungering Void and some other constellations that your setup.
More offensive, and perhaps a bit too much for crucible. Though, i am sticking to the main game, so no crucible for me.
Edit: I have no experience with Light of empyrion, but i think your devotion setup probably is better overall. The added defense is most likely needed.
I am not sure why there’s such a confusion. Is Hungering Void not showing up for you in Grimtools?
The binding must’ve come off when I generated the link but Hungering Void is definitely part of both the Pyromancer and the Deceiver.
2h version of The Burning Void is untested by me since I don’t have the weapon. So can’t comment but I think this one should be much easier to pilot than the 2h build
As I said above is Hungering Void not showing up for you either? The Deceiver and The Pyromancer both use it on my end
Both links for the expansion Pyromancer/Deceiver have points in Dying God/take Hungering Void on my end. Deceiver has a bind for it (so it appears in the Proc buffs line-up) whereas Pyromancer does not - this might be where the confusion is coming from :undecided:
Great job with the Witch Hunter @MrTrek I just never am comfortable with the low RR in Witch Hunters but the recent buff to Eldritch Fire Witch Hunter is also a great option
Your witch hunter looks really innovative but I wouldn’t have gone for Harbinger pieces and Doom Bolt. So kudos for creativity
From what i’ve seen you gave up on Phantasmal Armor and went for Veil of Shadows. The only reason why I sent more for Phantasmal Armor beside having more armor is for better ernergy management and more freeze resist! Also I prefer ring of frost modifier for CC… in Grim Dawn freeze tends to be a better CC than stun.
The second change I can see is the relic which I tried, I kinda like mine because the skill can crit up to 50-75k!
Considering Doom bolt, it does about as much damage as my Shadow Strike.
Combined with Time Dilatation some bosses melts real quick On bosses it goes more or less like this:
Shadow strike --> Oblivion – Unleash Chaos --> Before resetting with doom bolt (assigned to time dilatation) you can wait less then a sec to Shadow Strike again --> Doom Bolt twice (because it reset with time dilatation) --> Sadow strike --> Oblivion --> Unleash Chaos
It won’t kill every bosses with that combo, but with some bosses it just melt them wintin 2-3 sec. I didn’t try every Nemesis But Fabius and Iron Maiden are super easy… Fabius can die before his first Blade barrier depending if you apply the resist reduction quick and if you manage to kill ennemies around him quick enough since they generally boost his defence.
I didn’t include ring of steel which you gotta do since I assigned it to Eldrich Fire to reduce chaos resistance!
That set-up kill the Mad Queen quite easily in about 15 sec, the other set-up does it in about 1-2 sec more… more or less.
Also tried the new dungeon with success, the end boss didn’t have the time to do his ‘‘fissure’’ skill in his second phase! Facetanked from start to the end.
EDIT: I just wanna add that it’s a more technical build to play then most builds, especially if you wanna optimize the killing speed. But that’s what makes it interesting and unique!
EDIT : For those that like big numbers this build in campaing mode has a crit over 400k on Tab 3 of your character stats.
The build in action vs the Mad Queen and Gargabol - facetanked! :
In the video I don’t use the relic of the grimtool link but I decided to try it again and with all the change I made to the build the Eldritch Pact relic Help for Aoe damage… as if now (considering all the changes i made) it helps a bit more than before and more than the Oblivion skill from the Oblivion relic.
I’m still trying new ideas when something comes to mind but right now the build feels pretty strong!
The guide had gotten very messy so ended up cleaning things up and giving it a complete overhaul. Should be much more readable now. Added your build @MrTrek
I decided to try out Solael’s Decimation relic and the result seems better overall for single target and Aoe. Having more OA did a difference for 1-2 sec on bosses I tested And for AOE damage I’m always up close and surrounded so it works well.
The mad Queen dies at least 1 sec faster if not 2.
Fabius always dies before his Blade Barrier, regardless if he’s surrounded with ennemies or not… tested this about 3 times. It’s only 3 times but the result is it tends to be always the case and you can feel the power . With the previous build set-up (the relic in fact) it wasn’t everytimes he would die before the blade barrier.
The build has so much crit that more OA seems to make a significant difference, even from 3.4k to 3.6k! That being said, I got really good gear overall and Eldritch Pact relic is still a good relic, especialy if you need more HP!
