well yes but it mostly depend of your tastes i guess, imo both works good; going full maxed ABB you could also turn the build into something more like “hold LMB”, also you can change it using winter king crown in that case the build should be more like this one
Got a lot of troubles with Moosilauke… much harder to me than any other big boss ( MQ, Chthon’s Nemesis, Van Aldritch, etc. ) So hard that I had to re-spec into zero-dps “range” and cowardly kite it… spent almost a hour ( MQ was downed in 30-40 sec, very easy ).
Probably, I did something wrong though… don’t understand how to avoid its freezing in melee position.
But I like the build as before^^
Btw, how many runs have you had for these “stonehide” of “vitality” pants? And how many attempts with the boots? Random “greens” crafting reminds me of Diablo3…
yeah thats normal you had issues with him since we do same damages as him, to avoid its freezing i usually take a hoarfrost ointment, being chain freeze isnt a really good thing …
cant say how many runs, dreeg and solael are my n°1 farm since months, to get a decent roll expect something with three numbers … still as its pure RNG you can have luck more or less quickly but yeah, dont expect to get something like this in 20 tries.
For boots its the same deal, i cant say, usually when i do a craft farming session i use 0.5K or 1K scrap and keep the decent/good rolls i may have.
Also when you do that, dont forget to check the yellows, you can have nice double rare yellow rolls, for example ordered (chaos res) of vitality (+HP) would be a yellow item; and finaly i craft at homestead/fort ikon to get 2-4% aether/chaos resist, it aint much but it can be enough to cap a res or help capping it; usualy my first choices to cap res are pants/boots then rings/shoulders; also check this guide (scroll down) if you have some troubles capping res.
Yes, it’s a long story… but definitely deserves to get it, this green stuff fits many chars/builds.
But seems to early to a begginer (me), I probably need to concentrate on the Crucible farming. Can push 100-150 challenger, but decent stuff drops even on aspirant ( 75’ sets parts, blueprints, etc. )
P.S. I’ve played a lot TQ where some rare green stuff was much more powerful than purple & blue… unfortunately, it was beyond of loot = never. Glad they fixed it in GD.
Well crucible is a great way to farm legs and greens, used to do a lot of that when it was possible to find online games, you know now its only those 100 -80 farm things T_T
Still i have to say if you are looking for specific green(s) its better to farm them in main campaign as its WAY quicker.
If you lack some res there are usefull items easier to get, like avanger of cairn amulet for aether res, empowered legplates of valor for pierce/bleed for example.
Thing about solael pants (my fav) is no matter the good or bad rolls youll have, you will still have aether and bleed res, which is still very usefull and some ADCTH (between 2 and 4% i believe), so yeah even if you dont get the one i have you can still manage to cap res, nightembrace amulet aint needed at all, so you can totaly go for avenger of cairn if you wanna do valbury for example, and also black star of deceit if you lack chaos/vitality , not to mention the % ADCTH on it aswell with flat RR.
Also, new alkamos rings are for sure a great option on this build, but it would mess my res, and ill have to loose either current shoulders or medal.
I offer here the set up im using, even if not totaly BIS i think its good enough; and for sure there are many other way to gear this build, including capped res.
I’ve improved my DA ( 2300+ perma buffed ), but still can be crit’ed by a nemesis on the challenger Crucible.
So, how much DA is OK/reasonable?
I don’t fully understand this issue… for example, my commando has less than 2000 DA unbuff ( put some points into cunning as recommended ). Honestly, it seems not very well, I don’t feel its tankiness, probably because of low dmg, low dmg = low life per hit.
And another question ( sorry for offtop ) - that chance to be crit’ed, is this applicable to all the damage type in the game? Just had a lot of troubles from Zantarin while fighting him melee. In short, oneshot - despite 83 vitality dmg res.
its because it depends of your armor, i think you have markovian or maybe justice set on your commando, also chance to be hitted/crited you see on your char sheet, depends of the last attacker, so obviously wont give same numbers if last encounter was fabius or just some random mob.
Zantarin can rr you, if you get OS usualy its because you took his shotgun after the debuff
EDIT: with decent gear, and the skills/devotions i give on this topic you shouldnt have any issues in crucible challenger, with PB, mirror, BB it should be pretty straight forwards to wave 150.
Not playing crucible this much since quite a time, but i had 0 issues in challenger, same in gladiator until wave 100 where i stopped to take the checkpoint and i was bored, since it was just after doing challenger. BUT to finish crucible gladiator, ill go a bit more defensive in devotions and skills.
hey, as i said on first post, peerless eye of Beronath is a good option, actually its best option even with working freeze thing, the freeze abuse was just a cool thing to add to the build.
but sure its also a good option, some green amu with flat cold could be another aswell, but hard to find better than +1 all skills, +% crit and flat OA
been a while i changed rings to alkamos ones since i got some nice (ordered) zantarin to cap resists.
went back on the peerless eye of beronath for amulet.
changed devotions a bit :
if you have trouble with res, take empty throne instead of harpy.
also you can take raven instead of spider to asve one devotion point to put where you want, like another +5% health
anyway this devotion works better than the 2 previous posted imo, even if changes are minor
ty , yeah with procs on OA is almost at 3k if i remember right; +2.2K DA
this build offers a lot of gearing possibilities depending on likes and such, and same goes for skills point attribution and devotion
+skills are always welcomed, nemesis relic was the best option for the build imo, but aint a true recquirement for sure
but since some smart head posted a topic with “obviously” legit kill times in its own title i wont bother to update this topic now; feels more than useless
of course ill still answer if things are asked
well nightchill allows you to chain freeze bosses and nemesis includin moosi …
so yeah it got nerfed at last update, that means you cant freeze them anymore since bosses and nemesis are supposed to be immune to CC.
Anyway peerless eye of beronath is the best option imo with or without the freeze thingy.
I made a simple grimtools link for this using the updated devotions and equipment that was mentioned. I also used purples instead of the greens for the pants and feet since many people may not have them. http://www.grimtools.com/calc/O2GXlGVd
Any further updates? I have mine to 45 and have had a great time with it.
thanks, i just edit first post and put it in there
updates ? about the build ? no i wont do; char still works with last update, lots have been said, ill update it with new lvl caps and devotions, until then i wont i believe
