use the crafting npc’s in devil’s crossing and conclave of the three. they’re the blacksmiths. there’s no portable blacksmith anymore.

alright thanks for info, also is it just me or the mod is now much easier (except for those random boss with huge shield that doesn’t take damage at all)
the game is at its hardest when you’re a beginner and your 2-hour megabuff runs out. then as you acquire awesome gear, the game gets easier until you try for high SR waves. also if you pick powerful classes, the game is much easier. the game is in a bit of a rough spot when it comes to balance, so your class choice makes a big difference.
i see, no wonder that i have to do save edit when playing as certain class, especially the melee-based ones since at the beginning its just impossible to endure more than 3-4 hits at the beginning
huh, didn’t expect to reach level 100 in a day with this mod. pretty dang fun~
although few things i have to mention :
- GDM feature caused infinite loading when i set it to T3 and double density
- some ONB seems too OP to the point that i don’t even deal any damage to it
- maybe give items from Diablo mods a label to differentiate between vanilla?

yes that can happen and i have not further investigated this after the last adjustmentsession a while ago but for sure could be anything on a wide range, just take it as a fun addition atm which might cause this issue the future will show what will happen here, i am not that sure about it and if i can fix it at all, tbh
yes that can happen for sure, really depends on character build and the usual stuff, but tell me please which did you encounter and found had this op behaviour then i can check explicit for this with some characters to bring a bit more balance to that specific one <3

nil-version got an update, which gives the Grim Souls mechanic a huge overhaul in terms of spawning and fx, also some more champions have been added and the loot should be more worth the hunter’s time now global lootoutput for Exotic gearitems has been drastically reduced to decrease overpoweringspeed a bit more. Yes for sure - this section needs a revisiting overhaul in terms of statvalues, affixes and overall balance, and aswell it should be extended with D2 affixes overtime for sure! Furthermore a needed fix for the bugging lightradius at max-zoom-level has been implemented.

The nil-version just got an update which brings some changes and fixes to the Grim Soul spawnmechanic, adds a bit more loot as a reward to those extra spawns, a few new spawns even have arrived - more to come. Overall decreased the output of Exotic gearitems - but therefor now you can wear them at level 1 instead of level 5! (-> some nerfs will arrive sooner or later for sure, just had no time to target this in detail…) Furthermore the start of the game with a new character has been optimized to NOT need the Innate-Skill for this task anymore, so things here have shifted around a bit to make more sense, at least for now Big THANKS goes out to Asylum because i checked out his way, and yes great it was really that easy to achieve to let him spawn instantly ;D <3 In addition the D2 class Amazon had a revamp and some sort of synergizing with RoT content and some of my own ideas as usual, nearly done with it even, just want to add the Lycander totem-skill, with some adjustments for sure. Overall there are some pretty nice “new” effects which come from RoT <3 Furthermore the 1h spears have been finished up in the legendary and epic section to aid the newly revamped Amazonians, and are available already via the global loot → MI’s are still missing here.
(Amazon skilltree revamp + synergizing - i.e. there are now 2 Exclusive Skills → Retreat + Slow Missiles, both with some new tiny “mechanics”)
Time to check it out now → you will find it at the usual spot A “full” update will take a while, not before january i guess…

there was still a big phat lag when a Grim Soul addonspawn was appearing, with todays value-combonize this has finally been solved and the Grim Soul spawns are now a “bit” more aggressive overall xD nil-version is uploading, might be worth to take a look also at the already setup Lycander’s Eye, not yet transmutable

As you might have already noticed, the Grim Soul mechanic and the Bookworm Buff mechanic are both NOT WORKING at this point after the recent update, i am sorry for this, BUT a solution has already been found, it can be solved by giving the buff to the player like we did it for the Omega Endless Buffs, by simply giving out the chargable buff as a buffother from an invisible monster, there is just one small issue left, this ONLY does work IF the portal to the Shattered Realm is OPEN, so there should be some script thingi be involved into this blacklisted spawn OUTSIDE of the SR, this is in inspection right now

I’m not sure at this point mate, the new basegame changes are a big downer and it seems as it is not easy to not at all possible to solve the break from my end here, and this “charge” mechanics outside SR are an important keyfeature of this mod, so let’s see what comes next Atm still trying to solve it with some workarounds but it does crash often at various conditions which seems strange, very strange but i am not wondering anymore xD
EDIT1: very nice, a hotfix which adresses this issue will arrive at some point, that is good and grants time for some other stuff <3

Unfortunately after the latest patch a few key features of this modcompilation, such as the Grim Soul charge-mechanic + the Bookworm Buff + the Headhunter Leatherbelt are NOT working anymore and i am not sure if a hotfix on this will arrive soon, because it was stated to work again via another template, which isn’t the case, so we have to wait on that for now
Beside that, most other stuff should work so far, except for most of the latest update stuff which has not been touched for now as i was a bit busy these days and had to test alot of stuff regarding the key features mentioned above, without any success in getting them to work again i will update the nil-version with the stuff i have in a few moments, as i just came home, so you can check for yourself
I am crossing fingers that it get’s resolved soon, have tested it in many ways already to see at least that i have not missed anything so that the fault is not on my end. If so, i hope i get some enlightement atleast these days

EDIT1: the nil-version has been updated, a few basegame patch changes already included, like SR scriptupdate for the faster progression or the strangly positioned clockdisplay + a few minor “fastchanges”, most of the rest like skill- or itemchanges need to be worked on after xmas, including the new D3 update that came out recently, also curious about that rune-change for sure! <3 The above not-working stuff is still in progress, so don’t wonder about that you are NOT charging up at all at any spot you might expect it from before the basegameupdate. For example, Grim Souls are still able to spawn extra enemies, reintroducing the small hiccup on initial spawn, as i simply forgot to redo the rework with a spawntotem to avoid this ugly behaviour (as seen for Hero Archetype Portalspawns), after a long trial and error run with the new amazing OneShot template Will be re-re-done when that template is working as intended for sure, maybe even earlier, we will see

Another issue happening with the latest basegame update is that you might encounter frequent crashes when either an Arcane Hero Archetype Portal is appearing, or when encountering Diablo (either Vision Boss or DNB) and he tries to burn you with his Firebreath. Both issues have been resolved and can be solved with the latest nil-version which i will update in a while.
