It could be interesting creating groups of units like those games i mentioned. if you wanna kind. sellect all towers and create a group pressing, like CTLR 1 and next time you press just 1 you sellect the group youve created.
Also in adition, some millitary actions, like patrol, formation position, and stuff
Also adding some ranged raiders, and etc …
