Can you let cows graze including crop rotation.
The ability to grow pasture for period, with cows allowed to graze.
Grow hay.
After you chop wheat, left over staff can be given to cows.
Some of this can be done manually, but should be automated
It takes a bit of micromanagement, but I do this a lot.
Since every field I build includes at least one year growing Clover for regeneration, I move the ‘pasture’ to the fields with Clover growing that year - have to move it every spring, but this both keeps the cows Very Healthy and also jacks up the fertility of the fields even further: regularly able to keep them above 94% fertility.
In my current game, I think I have enough broad flat land to put in an ‘extra’ field Just For Cows: plant it in clover every year, put the Pasteurage there permanently, and see what effects I can get.
I hate micro management. Especially late game.
I get my fields to 95 % plus fertility using clover, but it would be a lot more efficient if I could add cows automatically
I would be satisfied with an ‘automatic reset’ every fall: the cows go back to the barn, and next spring/late winter I can click on a single button that indicates a pre-set new Pasture: give me three presets and I can ‘rotate’ the cows with 1 click per year just the way I rotate the farm fields automatically.
That would also make it heaps easier to ‘rotate’ the cows through non-field pastures to fertilize the areas before you place fields on them. It makes little/no sense to have villagers specified as herdsmen for the cows and then I have to move them by mouse: minimize my input, maximize rhe digital villagers’ input.

Farm Fields and Barn Pastures no longer correspond in size like they used to.
The 15x15 Pasture equates to 4 @ 7x7 split equally, 2 @ 9x7 + 2 @ 5x7 (or 1 @ 9x5 + 1 @ 5x5
Options listed here leave the 1-space buffer between fields, needed to avoid Field Rot.
Some variation dividing the 15x15 square into four, to minimize wasted fertility created by a long-term Barn Pasture, as 15 spaces is too long either way for just one Farm Field, and too short for three.
