What part of “60.8 is only up on mega.nz. It was a silent update for my play testers.” was not exactly clear?
I’ll get with Warebare on this. I can’t include all of DGA database in all modes due to it’s size. There may be more to the items tree than what is currently merged.
If it helps, the items that went missing were any orbs, souls, essences, etc. As well as any items crafted with planar scrap, I think called levelling-gear.
Edit: DGA orbs and Planar orbs confirmed to actually persist through game modes.
Talking with WareBare let us figure it out quickly, we weren’t using enough of the DGA records in non-DGA maps.
NEWS:
Crate has announced their two expansion masteries and the mastery limit will be increased. Release day is still a few months off, but I would like to post my plans for DAIL.
Prior to the expansion release, DAIL will be fully updated. On release day, the Necromancer and Ranger will be dropped; sorry, they occupy enumeration 7 and 8. This will allow me to release a DAIL update on expansion day so that those who wish to play it in DAIL, can do so immediately.
Crate has not announced how many more mastery slots will become available. If 50 slots become available, I will merge all available masteries. The Necromancer and Ranger will be put back into DAIL, but in a new slot. Those who are playing these classes will need to take steps to fix their characters (back-up saves, remove skill points, note mastery investment, use a tool to recover any lost points).
If less than 50 slots become available, DAIL will see a mastery overhaul. I will select masteries that offer a variety of play styles. Visit the DAIL/Discussion thread to voice your opinions on this.
DAIL will then exist as an expansion mod. I do not know how this will affect those without the expansion who try to play DAIL. Again, DAIL will be fully updated prior to the expansion so those that choose not to participate in it, will still be able to enjoy the most current mod content. Pre-xpac DAIL will not be maintained.
Yeeeeeey, finally
I hope Crate will make 50 slots available
btw I thought that class<number> to class<name> already solved that problem.
That was part of it. They still occupy those slots and 30 is still max atm. Now when I go to bring Ranger back in, two playerclass08 won’t exist. It will be playerclass08 (xpac necro) and Playerclassranger.
While digging into DAIL.dbz found this:
*\steamapps\common\Grim Dawn\mods/DAIL/database/records/proxies/lv6_hero+.dbr
templateName,database/templates/proxylevelvarianceequation.tpl,
maxVarianceEquationNormal,( averagePlayerLeve l + 8) ,
minVarianceEquationNormal,( averagePlayerLevel + 4 ),
Notice an extra spacebar in the Level word, lack of space after 8 and extra spacebar before comma. Not sure how much of an impact it would make, but still.
Hey guys, been following DAIL for a while - GREAT work - first time posting.
Just tried to install the latest version from Nexus and I get a consistent error at 17% of the DAIL.arz extraction. Anyone else have this problem so far?
Thanks for that; fixed. Also, kymon and necro factions are incorrect. The GD Eternal setting found its way into my main working. 60.8a up shortly
Try running installer as admin. Try installing a different campaign mode. If you continue to have issues, I will put together a zip package.
Does spacebar between parenthesis and numbers has any impact? Because there are some DB entries that look like this
( averagePlayerLevel + 4 )
and several others look like this
(averagePlayerLevel + 4)
60.8a is up.
Fixed GD: Eternal faction settings making their way into Campaign.
-derpy on me.
I don’t think so, for there is no additional equation outside of the () at this time. The misspelled variable was likely an issue though and I squeezed it into 60.8a fix.
I’ve got a question.
60.6 DAIL used balancingadjustment_mp+difficulty_players01.dbr
In 60.8 it is absent, what’s the reason behind this change, are balance changes made in another file?
Likely swept out in dozer house cleaning actions. I’ll cross that file with vanilla and see what is different.
I never played GD without this mod (cause its way better as rpg veteran ) … is it normal that i dont have any lore / story videos on custom mod games?
I’m pretty sure the game is whitespace agnostic.
Tried the new version. Running as Admin didn’t seem to make a difference but I took it down to ‘X’ (from ‘SX’ - which is what I prefer) and it made it as far as 27% consistently.
Uploading a zip would be very helpful!
