Melee weapons cannot create fragments, fragments are only created when a projectile impacts a target. I hope I don’t need to explain why “chance to pass through enemies” doesn’t work with melee weapons either.
Makes sense =)
Thank you for putting this together! Im in love with it!!
I was thinking the same thing. It would be awesome if GD just lists the requirements/restrictions directly to the skill. It feels like there are a bunch of skills in zenith/ncff that don’t have the usual Grim Dawn descriptors, which can be confusing.
does warden is abailable?, idk when i try to make one mastery the game freeze and crash
Up to 1.1.6.1 the game only supported 40 masteries, the mod is now up to 46. If you pick any of the 41 - 46 (most of Zenith + Warden) in an earlier GD version, the game will crash.
I assume that is the case here, so you should updated to the current GD version.
you sir, rock thanks
The warden are an interesting class i am thinking to build a warden + Earth for 3 tanky pets. Not sure if there’s item/gem support though
The Warden has no item support, other than the +1 to mastery component, will have to bring it up to Cataclysm support of items eventually
The updated Cataclysm masteries are awesome. The abilities that have unlock potential at +10 to skill level are pretty massive game changers insofar as they require quite a lot of specific itemization. It makes me wonder, does the updated Cataclysm have modified skill points/devotion points?
If the Diablo 2 masteries are anything like how they are in Reign of Terror then they’re balanced around a much higher skill point total than what we currently have (reign of terror gives +3 skill points until level 90 and +4 skill points from 90 to 100). I haven’t actually tried the masteries from the standalone mod, however, so I don’t know if they were changed for Reign of Terror.
Also, how is progress going getting the diablo 2 masteries added? I’m sure they’re a lot of work if you’re adding the horadric cube, items, and bosses etc. that are also in that mod (I sure hope so).
Mamba, thanks for the excellent mod.
Did a combo of Outrider + Terror Knight and it was a great success.
Even without item support, the combination was still extremely strong.
Here’s a video of my Hell Huntress taking on Ultimate Callagadra.
it gives 10 more skill points (2 skill points for 10 levels longer than vanilla GD)
the standalone mod does not change the number of skill points at all
I think you are coming at this from a RoT perspective, the standalone version has no new bosses, it ‘just’ has the D2 masteries, and even those are somewhat different from what is in RoT (don’t really know either mod in detail, but when looking superficially at the standalone mod, it becomes clear already… for example, RoT has changed spear animation whereas the D2 mod does not change them over vanilla, which to me means it does not really have spear weapons)
I personally can’t wait for the D2 classes. The class combinations gonna be Epic!
Same here!
Does the standalone mod scale the skills differently from Reign of Terror? In Reign of Terror all skills appear to have 20 ranks open for skill points.
Furthermore, are the masteries different in Reign of Terror? From my experimenting with the masteries in that mod there are quite a few more skill node options in addition to the skills each being open for leveling all the way up to 20.
Having said that, you don’t need to invest in a whole line of abilities like you do with the grim dawn masteries. Teeth, for example, in the Necromancer tree doesn’t gain any synergy bonuses that I am aware of despite being on the same tree as multiple other abilities.
I do not know the D2 mod nor RoT in detail.
They did start from the same masteries at one point in time but have diverged since, with RoT going its own way while D2 stayed closer to GD in number of skill points and balance (so it is a much better fit for DoM than the RoT masteries would be).
It is my understanding that they do keep an eye on each other and one might take over changes from the other, so they kinda stay in sync instead of having no ‘contact’ ever since they first diverged.
That’s cool to know
Seems to be some funky stuff happening with cataclysm vendor.
Purchasing items with epic or legendary tokens sometimes results in a failed roll. No token will be used up and no item will be generated.
If you make lots of rapid purchases you will see the glitch. Likely from it trying to roll an item that doesnt exist.
Maybe you are doing it too fast, all referenced items do exist
It isn’t really a matter of “doing it too fast” I just said “make lots of rapid purchases” as a way of explaining how to reproduce the glitch quickly and easily, for your reference.
I just logged in to verify that it has nothing to do with the speed of one’s clicks.
I spaced out my purchases 10s apart and the issue persists.
Buying epics and legendaries from the cataclysm blacksmith have this issue.
This was not an issue before the most recent update.
