There is nothing that would make a shield prevent you from taking any damage. This must be tied to your skills, devotions or gear.
Maybe you heal up fast enough to not notice, maybe there is a skill that protects you very well when using a shield, but there is no way a shield (any shield) protects you from all damage / ground damage, there must be another explanation for that… try fighting a strong boss and just stand there, still no damage ?
This is so weird. I restarted the game, and this “bug” has vanished. I have almost 2,000 hours in GD and I have never encountered an invulnerability bug like this O.o
I have never observed this but as more mods are added to this there are bound to be bugs. If the skill descriptions are any indicator there are bound to be loads of syntax or logic issues in the code of most of these mods.
There definitely are a few, but I can catch many with a reference check. Logical errors I can of course not catch that way, but there is nothing anyone could change in a .dbr file to get the result (invulnerability while equipping any shield).
I think most errors would be relatively easy to identify while playing and fix once identified, they mostly affect a single skill, blueprint, etc. nothing overly complex.
Hello ! I’ve installed your mod and am getting these red and blue squares on certain spell animation , is this a common bug ? i’ve also been thinking that maybe its because I only own the base game and not the expansions!
This pattern indicates a missing texture, and if you do not own both expansions this will be the least of your problems. There is no guarantee any of this works without them, but I can virtually guarantee that something more important than a spell effect will break.
I dare say most people actually like to end up at level 100 by the end of veteran You still have devotion points to collect so its not like you´re finished.
Hi there! First of all, this mod compilation is awesome. I was debating using this or Grimarillion, but I decided on this as it had more options (some of the class names leave a bit to be desired, but I digress).
Anyway, I came across something odd, in that my 2nd mastery (Defense/Defender, to be specific) somehow didn’t save and also all the skill points that went into it also went poof. So here I am with a severely gimped character. Any theory as to why that could be and any ideas on how to remedy this plight?
Addendum: I find it hilarious that the Cataclysm Warden artwork is just the basic Artemis recolor from Smite. I see you.
Thank you, and lemme buy you a coffee sometime.
Edit: completely pointless observation I felt like sharing.
I got 3-4 builds that can clear all content, some with ease.
1) Outrider + Terror Knight: Probably the most OP range build I’ve got so far. Simple build with like 3 buttons to push (2 debuffs and 1 autoattack). Mostly pierce damage. Uses Mythical Silverbolt + Shattered Guardian Set for end build. Extremely tanky with hug life leech due to huge damage. Can tank and take down Callagadra under 45 seconds. Crucible and Shattered Realm (80+) no problem. Leveling guide: Level with Outrider through the Marksman autoattack replacer skill tree.
2) D3 Barbarian + Earth: Very fun build. Uses Weapon Throw and Call of the Ancients (player-scale pets) to wreck havoc. Great AoE and also single target. Uses Immortal King’s Call set for end build to basically have 3 player-scale pets do massive damage all the time. Can also tank and take down Callagadra under 1 minute. Crucible and Shattered Realm (80+) no problem. Leveling guide: Rush for Whirlwind and its modifiers. Either uses that until level 94 so you can craft endgame gear, or switch to Weapon Throw whenever you can respec. Either skill is good for leveling.
3) Nature + Earth: Pets build. Can clear all content with 17 tanky pets at endgame (16 permanent and 1 temporary). Uses Call of the Wild set (from Nature) and Spear of the Dryad to convert physical damage to elemental. Player is also tanky enough (Earth provides armor absorption and flat damage absorption, Nature provides heals, % damage absorption, and also flat damage absorption). Callagadra takes under 8 minutes. Crucible and Shattered Realm (65+) no problem. Leveling guide: Starts off with Nature and Thorn Sprites until you can respec into Call of the Wild. Put points into Plague and its modifiers for support. Also Kodoma for heals and defense, resists.
4) Elementalist + Storm: Channeled caster build. Still finishing off the end build for this one. Cold damage with Breath of Boreas channeled skill. Uses Raiment of the Storm set for end build. Did Shattered Realm 50 no problem so far. % damage absorption and ADCTH makes this a tanky caster build. Leveling guide: Starts off with Elementalist with Chain Lightning skill and its modifiers. Then rush for Stormcaller and its modifiers.
There are many viable build options. As long as you focus on developing your character the right way (one or two primary damage types, skills and devotions that are beneficial and not superfulous etc.) You can probably clear with almost everything. Biggest mistake one could make is investing heavily into opposites. Like melee and guns or two handers and shields.
The most powerful build i have done so far was rift stalker and terror knight. Zzz modes ultimate super bosses.
I put together an Astromancer (Wizard/Witch + Arcanist) for shiggles and now I can shoot shurikens and lightning… with extra lightning… made with lightning, real lightning.
Although in retrospect, pairing Wizard/Witch with Occultist for Curse of Frailty would’ve worked better, so… live and learn.
