Delete functionality

G’day all.

(Not sure if this has been previously asked/stated but was unable to find anything relevant to my suggestion.)

My suggestion is for the ‘delete’ function when ingame.

Going to use Hawthorn bush for example. I don’t use these and want to 'remove’ these. Currently as it stands when I ‘delete’ them, that’s just it, pooooof, they’re gone.

What I’d like to so is the word ‘delete’ changed to ‘remove’ and then have a citizen come and ‘remove’ them not just have them ‘magically’ disappear.

Now whether to gain some minor resources from these ‘removed’ items or not is I think up to discussion/review. IMO, remove means just that, have it 'go away already.

Cheers

Welcome to the forum. :slightly_smiling_face:

Why do you not want to use hawthorn though? It’s a berry that your foragers can gather for your villagers to eat.

I think the Clear (C) icon might be what you’re looking for. You can set it to just clear bushes only (you’d have to carefully drag the cursor over the hawthorn bushes) and then villagers will come and take them away.

G’day, and thanks much for the welcome.

I’ve not used the clear option at this stage and possibly is what I need.

Which brings up why is there a ‘delete’ function? The instantaneous removal of items from the map doesn’t make to me (notice I stated ‘me’). If you were ‘crafting’ the map then a delete function would be imperative to get rid of unnecessary or fat-fingered mistakes, but not on a ‘working’ map.

Again this is all my own conjecture and opinion, so, please take it for what it’s worth as I’m not denigrating the game, in fact this is one of the better ‘resouce management’ games I’ve played and I started playing those from the original AoE and WoW (Orcs and Humans) back in the late 90’s, and yes I know, they’re more geared toward ‘strategy’ than resource management, but you still needed to have the resources (and manage them) to crush your opponent/s.

Anywho, thanks much again for the welcome and advice.

Cheers
