[Deprecated] [Mod] Mapping/Rifting is coming to GD (First WanezMod)

Man the Chillmanes at low levels are absolutely brutal, I never had any trouble with them in the regular game. Here though they spam their icewave skill constantly for a ton of slow and damage and are way hard to kill. A pack with a hero is legit harder than a boss for me right now.

Also, are there supposed to be no drops at all when you have Vanilla mode off? The only way I’ve gotten gear with it off has been from chests, which aren’t very frequent (maybe one per rift). I bought some xp with an orb to get a jump up but I’m seriously regretting it because I don’t have any gear and I’m not getting any either.

If you’re using second beta version, then after crafting one scroll you will receive planar-scrap, then look for plains-shifter crafter on the right side, choose needed equipment and craft it :slight_smile:

Oh, I didn’t notice that it got fixed to have more than amulets and rings, that would explain it, lol.

Still though, what’s up with the drops? Or rather the complete lack of them.

EDIT: Looks like the wrong attack speed stat is being used for the random stats on the leveling items. I got gloves with +9% attack speed and they set me to the 200% attack speed cap.

yeah, you’ll have to get essences and souls to craft scraps/planar scraps, you can then either craft the leveling gear or vanilla gear. The drop-rates are most likely too low for them right now and the 50 planar scraps (beta 2) at the start fix is just a quick fix until everything is balanced properly :slight_smile:
However Epics and Legendaries are still dropping without vanilla mode.

Its a weird bug that happens building maps, some change in a way barely noticeable, others like that one have the mini-map images messed up.

yep used the wrong one…, that includes cast speed, so Ill upload a fix (soon) for that and increased soul/essence drop rates.

Is there no reward for the quest that wants you to get 10 DGA orbs? As soon as I got the 10th it just disappeared, no popup about rewards or a followup quest or anything. Was a bit disappointing.

I can see in the item list that there is a devotion reward of some sort available, but it’s not immediately clear how you get it, and I don’t recall seeing something like it at the merchants/blacksmiths.

there is a step 3, but I guess you had an Affix Scroll in your inventory from one of the chests.

Not sure this is a bad thing, considering you probably have better gear at that point, however I have plans for making devotion points part of the mod. It was just the fastest way to give them :slight_smile:

and Im glad I uploaded this version, there were plenty of issues already and there is enough new stuff to figure out for players. I need a few weeks to get everything in and besides the delay, it would have been even more stuff to figure out for players and more for me to fix. And it’s nice to have a ‘finished’ version and go from there.

Purely a good thing :). While it is might be hard at the start (till something like 8-10 points), then it will be easier to get them than in vanilla :slight_smile:

I saw some of the inscriptions have granted skills, are you aware that granted skills don’t show up/work at all with augment type items? Certain stats don’t as well, such as +all skills (yes I wanted to make a +all skills augment for DAIL, but the game let me down :().

Did you use some sort of tool to autogenerate all the rune/inscription stats? I’m wondering because in DAIL we use the Cornucopia items where possible, and some components were changed quite a bit, if only in what item type they can be applied to. Would love to be able to have only one set of Cornucopia components and runes/inscriptions that take their stats from those. If not that’s okay, we’ll tell DAIL players to :cool:DEAL WITH IT:cool: and just have two different sets of components that are mostly, but not always, alike :p.

I was able to create runes and inscriptions just fine btw, not sure how I’d be able to afford experimenting with combinations to find the ones that work, but haven’t played much of version 3 yet so maybe the improved drop rate will make it possible.

Oh, and are there any DGA-specific ways (current or planned) to get +skills, or will you just need to rely on vanilla Legendary drops for that? I do so enjoy the +6 all skills I can get from the sets in the previous version of DGA :D.

yeah they are generated, its also the reason for skills on augments… . Ill make the tool available eventually (part of the new mastery tool). Right now its only looking at vanilla components. So yeah, DAIL players have to deal with it for a week or two.

I made them so expansive to make farming for tiers more of a grind. The generic stones are for experimenting since they remove the need to know about what slot it is going to use. You wouldnt need an amulet stone or ring stone, you can get inscriptions for either from a generic accessory stone. Would it be enough to lower the cost of that generic stone? Since it cannot roll a tier higher than 1 it wouldnt make farming for top tier inscriptions easier.

there is a blacksmith bonus with that, I might add it to another affix roll aswell, or add it as a variation/explicit for certain items (head, rings, amulets) to slightly increase the chance, I was just very careful with it since you could potentially get that current roll on every item…
Had the same with xp increase, but since xp increase isnt as dangerous I just added it to the list of possible explicit rolls, so there is a chance right now to get that xp increase roll twice per item, a very small chance, but it is possible :smiley:

the chance to get +skill is 1:14 - if that is not coming up once in 50+ items I need to take a look at it.

Yeah I had a few items planned with skills, but would have been nice to add something unique to inscriptions. Maybe I’ll switch runes’/inscriptions’ base types, but that’s a big maybe.

well you know me… you gonna need patience, a week could easily become a month or half a year :smiley:
I just need to finish the mastery part first and maybe add support for mod materia with it right away.

Experimenting all the way is going to be tough either way, 2-5 sockets/slots with 83 different runes + different type stones, eventually I start making new Inscriptions and your Experimenting starts all over, could be the same runes/order with a different stone :D. It may be a good idea to post new Inscription screenshots, still requires guessing on how many sockets and which runes where used and get the order right.

I just did 100 (I just gave myself a couple 1000 scraps…) doesnt seem to work, I got double xp roll tho, at least I know blacksmith bonuses are working :slight_smile:

I used twinned boss affix, but unable to find second boss in torture chamber, was only 1 wraith of sorrows :cry:

possible to make a monster remaining count, yes, but there is no good way of showing it, I cant add a chat command and showing a Notification all the time isnt that great.
The best way is with a quest and thats a ton of work… I’ll keep it in mind tho.

PS. How to craft more than 3 standart relics?

I’ll add a recipe for a random relic for planar scraps.
