What medea said. And it would be a balancing nightmare which would eventually drive Zantai mad

Indeed.

Still they can generally increase player power-level by adding 20ish skill points and 5 devotion points towards endless endgame.

This will avoid scaling issues and actually help in making really hellish brutal builds… not that we can’t do them now anyway

devotions will never happen as it would upset the frail balance in the force:)

Devotion cap isn’t changing and we already know we’re getting 9 new constellations. There will also be some quests that give skill/attribute points.

I hope it not gonna change, 100 is just a really good number

That’s not the first time I’ve seen that very terminology used in regards to a level cap raise. It’s kinda vague. Does that mean it MAY raise to 102 or something silly. In which case…

Similarly, I’d love to see devo’s raised to 60 cos round, but I understand game balance>nice round numbers

We just don’t know yet. Zantai’s also said the new level cap is pretty close to the old one - which is just as vague. But that’s Zantai all over. Never gives a straight answer unless he’s ready to.

I think it’ll be 105, which won’t make the level 94 items obsolete, and will still give enough skill points to be significant.

well i don’t find 5 skill points to be that significant i must say

Well at a certain threshold having too many points turns all classes in to super jacks of all trades.

I am not sure about that, in TQ the last 20 levels made hardly any difference to me. By around 55 I had everything maxed that mattered and the points after that I could spend or not with hardly any actual difference. Skill points have diminishing returns.

Granted, in GD there is a lot more to invest in than in TQ, but the diminishing returns still apply, you just do not get there as fast.

Yes, but in TQ you had no chance to reach the level cap unless you farmed like forever so there were still a lot of points you could have gotten. In GD that isn’t the case unless you skip a lot of the side/faction quests. On a straight TQ playthrough I finish around 60-62 so plan my builds in the TitanCalc accordingly.

Lvl 68 was my highest i think:rolleyes:

i totally agree and i’ll be fine if the lvl cap stays at 100 in FG  Just wanted to point out that there’s not much difference between lvl 100 and 105 with a mere skill point by lvl (and what mamba said too).

But there are also skill/attribute points from quests going to be available.

it’s good for those who want to put their char always further but honestly that won’t make any difference in the end, because at lvl 100 you’ve already maxed the core of your build and like superfluff said it’s good that you still have a few choices to make anyway.

so imo the bread and butter of the xpac for builds will be the new itemization and ofc the new mastery. but having skill/attribute points rewards is still welcome ofc, just not very important for your char.

I am so dead! We dont care about the delay now! this is so goodooooooood!! that whirlwind!

agreed, but getting to 65 or 66 was easy, that still is 20 skillpoints or so with little impact

Highly depends on the build. In a lot of builds i have to make sacrifices to get all the stuff i need, more points would allow me to either max more stuff or just get more new stuff. And the maxed stuff or new stuff or both can make a big difference.

I had plenty of builds and not a single one really cared for points past the mid-50 levels, I am surprised you have a different experience… In GD on the other hand I never have as many points as I would like
