Do wagon drivers abandon their wagons to escape death?

I wonder if it’s intended but my wagon drivers are killed by raiders and predators ALL the time
During a raid all my six drivers were killed, and they were lying right next to their wagons
Since the wagon are so slow, do they ever abandon them to save their lives? Running would be way faster

I think that the wagon should run away even if the luggage is spilled.

I select them and try to guide them to the wall, but I’m sad when I can’t find them in time.

This would actually be a nice little feature. To have the wagons go 20-60% faster when dangers appear. While saving the drivers life it also could lose 40-100% of the load depending on the speed bonus it gets. Giving more incentive to keep the area safe.
