Does +%dmg to race include pets?

For example, in a pet build, if I put a sanctified bone in, does that mean that my pets will do +12% Damage to Ch’thonics and Undeads?.

I assume not, but not 100% sure and a bit hard to test quickly.

Very interesting question! For sure players scaled pets should benefit from it. Standard pets though have their own stats so they shouldn’t benefit from your bonuses. At same time though, I haven’t see racial bonuses for pets

I am 99% sure that Pet Scaled Pets don’t have nor benefit from Racial bonuses of any kind.

What about AoE buffs that include it? e.g. Steel Resolve.

That is a good question and falls in the 1% I am not sure about :stuck_out_tongue:

If steel resolve is applied in pets stat wise, should be a precedent and grants pets extra racial bonus. Probably standing on Inquisitor seal too.

A bit offtopic but, where do I see the +%elemental dmg to pets?. I can only see resistances.

Also, how does the +%dmg to pets combine with +%elemental dmg?, is it multiplicative?.

Isn’t the Rebuke’s Racial only applied to the seal itself or did that change?

Additive and you don’t see it anywhere except on the items, skills etc that give it.

Only applied to the Seal’s damage ability yes.

Btw, I tried to test Steel Resolve, but between stuff dying too fast, the dmg variance on attacks in general + the other stuff on Resolve, I have no idea if the racial is affecting anything. And I am too lazy to go Nemesis hunting.

So I am just going to do the lazy thing and ping @sigatrev

Didn’t read the thread, but I believe it will if it’s coming from an Aoe buff like word of renewal.

EDIT: @maya - If pets work the same way as other players do on MP, then steel resolve should benefit pets

Hm… that was my thought, but it is better to be safe and just post https://i.imgur.com/lx1CGOX.gif
:stuck_out_tongue:

Seems odd for steel resolve to only selectively buff pets. If they get the resists from it, i don’t see why the damage bonus wouldn’t apply

It should buff pet-scaled pets exactly as it buffs allies/other players. It’d be weird to set a specific discrepancy between the 2 :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, you can’t bind “%chance on hit” devo procs to pets for example.

Superbosses have dmg bonus to and take less dmg from pets (which I learned only after Zantai mentioned it after my complaints on Cally).

So, I am not confident enough to say with certainty either way.

But it’s a little different here. I see steel resolve the same way as I see AoTG.

I know. But like I said, I am not confident enough to say with certainty either way. And what I hate the most is tell someone something only to be wrong and feel like I gave them the wrong advice.

Kind of like when people ask me about non pet stuff and I am like: O_O

right. Fair enough. I should probably adopt that mindset more. :stuck_out_tongue:
