I am level 100 and The Outcast’s reputation is Nemesis. The reason I want to do this on Elite is because I want to become friendly again with The Outcast on Ultimate.
All information I found was posted before the level caps were raised. And nothing here indicates I have to do this on Ultimate. Unlike here, for example, where it clearly states “Ultimate” under the name.
But then there is also another boss with the exact same name. And I feel like I get this one instead on Elite. Because I did about 2 dozen runs and got only hoods so far. Is it just bad luck?
I’m pretty sure it doesn’t. Why do you want to be friendly with them again on Ultimate? For the Augments? If you really need them, then you probably have to just make a new character to farm the Outcast.
Way back when I first farmed the helm, I did this kind of the opposite way from you. Made friends first and got max reputation. Then just bought like 100 of each augment and made enemies on Ultimate. Really inefficent. Best make a new character to farm it.
I am pretty sure that legendary MIs such as this only drop in Ultimate.
However the Outcast’s stuff is not really good. In particular, her augments are not useful except in the level 70-90 range. There are better level 90 alternatives for all of them. So, practically speaking, you can just stay hostile.
But perhaps you want to end up friendly for an RP reason?
afaik if she drops the epic she can also drop the legendary. source: farmed her a while ago so memory is hazy but the grimtools notable loot entry should be correct (the 2nd wrath anasteria does not have the epic as drop on grimtools).
ye, word of “encouragement”/“keep at it”, for some reason Outcast’s Secret seems to be rather unique in naughty droprate and “never” adhering close to its supposed 10?% RNG
so don’t be surprised if you need like 50 (or even 100 @_@) runs to get it once you’re on Ult, for whatever reason it seems like it’s kinda normal with Ana (going by a bunch of user’s posting their plea for farming luck to RNGesus)
yes, those 2 were combined/technically 1 issue, she wouldn’t spawn her Wrath of the Aether “nemesis” version after 1.2 (Ult WotA version only added in 1.2) so she couldn’t drop it at all as it was now tied to ult version.
She could drop it before 1.2 and since the corrected spawn version of that hotfix. But that’s a pass fail/“100% unable to drop/able to drop at all” interaction, not a “drop rate is supposed to be 10% but takes 50+ to 100 kills” type weird rng relation
*the thing i’m referring is not a technical bug, more like a “joke” about RNGesus being weirdly picky about Anasteria’s helmet, for some reason, - so you just gotta “keep at it” if you’ve killed her 20times on ult and it still hasn’t dropped
Oh. That would actually explain my surprise when the Ravager was dropping the non-legendary helmet on Elite. I could have sworn I remembered getting it from the Elite version in the past.
